Chapter 4
Virginia was goingto have a heart attack if she didn’t get herself under control. The frantic beating couldn’t be good for anyone, no matter what the case was. In two minutes a chat at Cyber Room would open up, and she would try out cybersex for the first time.
Even if the person couldn’t see her, Virginia spent a painstaking amount of time getting ready—treating this as if it were any run of the mill date to help easer her nerves. She’d purposefully curled her blue-black hair and secured it in a low pony tail off to the side so the curls brushed against her breasts. Red lips and a smoky eye helped her to feel sensual, and a bright red, lacy g-string did whatever the makeup couldn’t.
It didn’t matter that video cameras were only an option. If he got brave enough to show himself, and she felt connected enough to try it, she wanted to impress whoever this Mr. Matty was. Nate was even with her mother for the evening, who thought she was just going out on a date finally. Everything was in place, she just needed to enter the room.
She blew out a deep breath and tried to calm her racing heart. There was something so dirty about what she was about to engage in, and she couldn’t wait. She was tired of playing it safe, and so damn tired of her heart missing Nathan. Cyber Room might be the best way to get her back into the field if she was this nervous over a chat room.
The computer chime almost sent her bolting out of her chair. “You are about to enter Cyber Room. Please note all conversations and videos are deleted upon leaving the chat. Click yes to continue or no to decline this match.” She read aloud and paused before dragging the little cursor over the “yes” button, and clicked it.
The page reloaded quickly. She wasn’t sure what she was expecting, perhaps the porn boarder that popped up on some sites or a naughty photo for the background. But it was entirely empty. The background was a bland gray, and there was a picture of lips where she assumed was the send key. Aside from that, it was utterly boring and almost sterile.
“So basically you assumed because people wanted to mess around virtually in a digital age that they were pervs and sex fiends.” She flushed a little, and her eyes landed on the small cobra photo in the corner.
He had joined…he was interested in seeing where the match-up would lead as well.
So who goes first? The thought crossed her mind just as the message popped up on the screen.
“Well, hello there. Before we go any farther, I want to admit you’re my first match, and I don’t quite know what I’m doing.”
She felt a tremendous amount of tension melt away reading his introduction. They were both newbies, and both wouldn’t have any clue what was supposed to be going on. She smiled and went to type a return.
“Hello, Mr. Matty (p.s. no photo?) I’ve only been with Cyber Room a week. You can see all the pertinent details about me. You already have I’m assuming if you’ve accepted, but I wanted to let you know I looked over yours.” She stopped talking and deleted the last sentence. “So … as bad as this sounds. . .what if we just got right to it?” Virginia held her breath as she hit send. A pulse of desire thrummed through her body. She wasn’t the assertive type, and could only believe the computer being in the middle had led to her sudden Type-A personality move.
Her heart continued thumping like a terrified animal in her chest as she waited for whoever Mr. Matty really was to respond. Her foot tapped nervously under the desk, and all of a sudden the surge of desire and intrigue slipping into fear and nervousness. The sound of the computer’s ping snapped her out of it.
“Sounds like a wonderful idea. I have one question before we start, why Cyber Room? Your profile is impressive. Why not some random Joe out on the street?”
She wasn’t shocked by the question and even if she hadn’t fully revealed the reason to Mary she was ready to tell some stranger it, if only because he was in the same shoes.
“I want to think of this as a social experiment. I want to know how a compatible cybersex personality matched up with a few external personality traits can lead to a successful offline relationship. I’ve read the articles. I’ve seen the Facebook page photos—but I’m a skeptic.” She hit enter, paused and added. “I also may be interested in seeing just how cybersex truly works.” Then hit enter a second time.
Again the pause in conversation was enough to send her heart pounding. She wasn’t candid like this, and if it backfired on her, she never would be again.
“Your honesty is refreshing. For the record, I joined because I wanted to get to know women who might not otherwise give me a shot. It’s nice to meet you, Virginia. What do you say to the idea of me telling you exactly what I want to do to you?”
She had no clue what this man looked like, let alone sounded like, but as she read them in her mind may as well have been liquid chocolate, all creamy and smooth. Her body pulsed with lust and she grunted out a moan. She was dying to ask him to pull the drawing down, to reveal himself. But she’d had plenty of nights in the past three years where she had to fantasize as she touched herself.
A pang of guilt rushed at her when she realized it would no longer be her husband’s face. That she was going to have to think of someone new if she was ever going to let him go. Inhaling deeply, she pushed the guilt away and exhaled slowly. It was time to start a new chapter, and whether her fingers shook from fear or lust she didn’t know, but she typed one solitary word before hitting enter.
“Yes.”
Blood surged to his dick as her one-word response flashed on the screen.
“Yes.”
When Virginia accepted the Cyber Room invitation last night he’d almost backed out. Almost. Matthew couldn’t ignore the attraction he had for the complete stranger. He’d rolled the dice, she’d taken her turn, and it was up to him to be there for the next round.
This round.
Now that time was here, Matthew wasn’t certain where to begin, he just knew it was right for him to take the first step. He’d never been a Casanova, but he’d had enough women in his bed to know what to do to please them. He’d even whispered a naughty command a time or two. But he’d never sexted. Ironic, really.
“This is simply one of the reasons why this was a bad idea.” He turned his head to the left side of the screen where Virginia’s profile picture and sexual likes were on the display. Her screen would show his.
Without thinking, Matthew unzipped his jeans and tugged them off. He had no clue if the men and women that engaged in Cyber Room services touched themselves, but if he was going to type out the perfect things to see if his own program could work for him and then meet her in person, he needed to lose the fear and focus on the lust.
His left hand slipped into his boxers and his fisted his cock. He let his gaze linger on only her photo as he stroked himself. The silence was tantalizing, and it was tempting to forget the room and merely continue on this path. A groan escaped, and he knew his erection was more than ready for this. Matthew’s hips bucked, and he pulled his hand away from himself, forcing his attention back to the chat screen. He had a feeling this was not something that could last too long because he had no idea how to split his attention and knew the minute she responded, his focus would be shot.
