“I’m going to need a drink before I go in there. A little liquid courage.”

There had been quite the debate on who should come in with me. Daire wanted to come, not wanting me out of his sight in a place like that. Cash had pointed out that he was too hotheaded. Getting in a scrap because someone checked out my ass wouldn’t help us accomplish our task.

In the end, it had been decided that Blaze would come with me. He was deadly enough to protect me while being chill enough to play the game we needed to play once we got inside. Also, he pulled off the look pretty well.

When he’d emerged from his bedroom in leather pants and a long sleeved fishnet shirt that showed off his body and tattoos, I may have actually drooled a bit. A spiked collar around his neck and the faintest smudge of liner around his eyes had me clenching my thighs together. Goddamn he was hot.

Before we left, I took two shots of rum from the bottle in the pantry. It helped loosen me up but left me wanting more.

Daire helped himself to a few shots as well. “I don’t like this. It doesn’t feel right to send Clover in there.”

The only other option was to send two of the guys. However, in a club like that, it would require them to do things with each other for the sake of blending in. Since they didn’t like each other like that, I’d volunteered to go in with one of them. It was the only way this would appear natural and realistic.

Of course, the thought of having sex in front of other people or watching other people have sex made me nervous. Is that what happened in these clubs? Would we be able to pull this off?

“You have the equipment?” Cash asked, his gaze lingering on my breasts.

“Yeah, it’s stuffed in here somewhere.” I nodded to my bountiful cleavage.

I’d hidden the tiny mics and cameras between my breasts. It seemed like the best way to get it inside and have easy access. The Sinners had instructed us to stick the mics under tables, in plant pots, anywhere they could be hidden. The cameras were to go on smoke detectors, in air fresheners, wherever they’d have a view without being noticed.

Apparently, there was a private area where the really nasty stuff took place. The Sinners wanted a camera in there. I had no idea how we would pull that off.

“What will you guys do while we’re inside?” Blaze frowned as Daire took another shot.

“Drink myself stupid so I don’t think about what you’re doing in there.” Abandoning the shot glass, Daire drank straight from the bottle instead.

Cash shook his head in silent judgment. “I’ll stay sober in case you need us.”

“You know we can’t take our phones in there,” Blaze reminded him. “We’ll be fine. Try not to worry. I won’t let anything happen to Clover.”

Daire muttered something that sounded like, “You damn well better not.”

Cash grabbed me in a warm bear hug, playfully dipping me as he planted a kiss on my lips. “Don’t leave Blaze’s side for a second, okay, Sunshine?”

“Promise.” Turning to Daire, I held out my arms for a hug.

Setting down his liquor bottle, Daire pulled me against him, pressing his body to mine. He buried his face in my neck, breathing me in. “I don’t want to let you go.”

“I know, baby,” I murmured. Seeing Daire come apart over this made me love him even more. “I’ll be with Blaze. We’ll be fine.”

“Don’t get caught planting the devices,” Daire warned, shooting a pointed look over my shoulder at Blaze. “If you guys aren’t back in two hours, I’m sending in Raina and one of the Gods to look for you.”

Not wanting to get Raina involved in a favor that was ours to pay, I shook my head. “Give us three hours. Just to be safe. Don’t call Raina unless you really have reason to believe we’re in trouble.”

Daire scowled before grudgingly saying, “Fine. Three hours. Try not to enjoy it. I don’t want to have to take you back to this place.”

My laughter was cut off by his bruising kiss. I held tight to Daire as he devoured my mouth. Good thing my lipstick wasn’t the kind that smudged or rubbed off.

“Take care of her,” he said as Blaze and I left the house.

Cash stepped up beside him, adding, “Take care of each other.”

I wasn’t sure what I expected. Maybe a creepy looking building or something run down. When we pulled into the parking lot of a relatively nice place, I was surprised.

“This is it?” I asked, glancing around.

It was located just off the downtown core where the nicest businesses operated. The windows were all blacked out with dark tint. The building had a red brick exterior and a flashy sign over the door that said:Paradise.
