“There you are, Princess.” He says.
The nickname makes me flinch backwards, a fresh reminder of my Shadow’s text messages. Slipping my phone in my back pocket I shuffle past him, eyeing Ally over his shoulder. She just shrugs. She can act like she didn’t know he was coming, but I call bullshit. Friend or not, she can’t seem to keep her legs closed long enough to turn away fresh dick, and West seems to be her pick of the month. She loves using him to make a statement. Trying to catch the attention of someone who is never around to witness it. Tonight that will all change, which is why she hangs on his arm all the way out the dorm.
“I’m driving.” I call over my shoulder.
“Duh.” Ally says.
Inhaling a deep breath, I slip into the driver's side and start the car. Thankful to have my car back from the shop after Ryker slashed my tires. Gripping the leather, my body relaxes under the purr of her engine. Fuck, I love this car. Ally and West slide into the back seat, not that they can fit well, but that’s not really their concern right now. I avoid using my rearview mirror, trying to save myself from having that image burned into mybrain. Keeping my gaze ahead of me, I. moving through traffic to Cambridge College where the away game for the football team is. I almost make it to the parking lot without using my mirror, but right before my turn, my gaze flicks up to the small mirror, spotting the large blacked out SUV following way too close.
“Fuck.” I groan, sinking deeper in my seat.
Deep laughter comes from behind me, “Come on, Princess. You didn’t think I’d come here alone did you? Not that Ryker would let you have any fun anyway.”
They slap the back of my seat, causing a grunt to pull from my throat with each hit. . Fucking assholes. For whatever reason, Ally decides now is the best time to ask the obvious.
“What’s your deal with Kenna? Did her family do something to yours? I know you guys used to be close.”
Her questions sends a shock through my chest. My eyes straining through the mirror at West. We both clamp our mouths shut, letting the words linger in the air around us, going unanswered. I pull into a parking spot on the other side of the school's stadium, hoping to avoid the crowd. Shutting the car off, I wait for them to climb out before pulling my phone from my pocket and powering it back on. I’d rather deal with the devil on my phone than the one making his way to my door right now. Before the last text can load on the screen, my door is pulled open and the scent of my nightmares flood into the small space. Cigarettes and mint mix together wreaking havoc on my nerves.
He kneels down, our eyes connect, dark to light, night meeting day. Milk chocolate eyes darken when they take in my outfit. Moving in closer, he crowds me against the seat, sucking the oxygen from the car.
“What the fuck is this?” His fingers pinch the fabric of my shirt pulling it towards him.
Tugging me towards him, dropping the thin material, he moves his fingers to my face squeezing my cheeks together in a bruising hold.
“I thought you were only a slut for me.” He raises an eyebrow, watching, waiting.
Biting the inside of my lip, I decide quickly, "You’re not the one I want between my legs tonight.” I quip.
Squeezing harder, my teeth dig into the inside of my cheeks drawing blood. The taste of copper fills my mouth, but I don’t move. I don’t breathe. Not with the viper ready to strike. Leaning in, Ryker takes my bottom lip in his mouth, sucking it hard before sinking his teeth into it. Tearing it open and flooding both of our mouths with the crimson liquid.
“Bleed for me, Killer. It’s the only taste you’ll have on your tongue tonight.”
Licking the red drop from the corner of my mouth, he kisses me deep. Cleaning up every drop of blood and swallowing it down. Taking from me. Squeezing out more while sucking up all I have to offer and I chase it with my own tongue. Fighting for what belongs to me. Unwilling to let him win, but knowing all the same that he will.
“That’s it, baby. Fight me, you’re so beautiful when you fight. A beautiful mess made just for me to ruin.”
Pulling away, I see West and Cole standing near the SUV, blocking Ally from coming this way. Ryker moves into my line of sight with a wicked grin on his face.
“If you forget who you belong to again, come find me. I’ll remind you over and over just how much of you is mine. And, Killer? If anyone touches your pussy other than me, his death is on your hands.”
Before my next breath he’s off his knees and back with his brothers, while Ally makes her way to me. Eyes wide with worry and questions. I waive her off, needing a second to come down from whatever the hell that was. Stepping out of the car with shaky legs and drenched thighs, I keep my stare trained ahead. Almost forgetting what I was doing before he pulled that stunt, I grab my phone and open it to the last text.
He won’t be able to touch you like that for long, Princessa. Don’t worry, I’ll take care of them for you.
Swallowing,I thumb out of that conversation and pull up a different one. It’s time to do some digging of my own. I refuse to be in the dark any longer. Not with the Stone brothers, and not with my Shadow Stalker. It's time for me to take back the Kingston name. Blood and all. Shooting off a text that will put some of the puzzle pieces together, I meet Ally halfway to the SUV when we both turn towards the football field.
“Let’s go.” She says, grabbing my arm and dragging me with her.
With the boys following behind us, we make our way to the bleachers where our school is crowded in a sea of gold and black; Hawthorne students. Ally drags me to the top of the metal steps until we reach the very top middle section. She plops her ass down, squealing when her bare ass hits cold metal.
“Holy shit!” She wiggles and laughs.
“Looks like you’ll have a frosty ass.” I joke, elbowing her in the ribs.
“Ha Ha.” She mocks rolling her eyes.
Ryker, Cole, and West keep walking heading to where G is sitting near the field, watching the players warm up. G stands saying something only to Ryker before addressing all of them, nodding his head to the field, where our team is.
