Turning her direction slowly it takes a minute for my aching brain to process what I’m seeing. Ally is straddling thick tannedthighs, her black tank and white jean shorts straining to cover her curves, with a large hand gripping her hair while they kiss. I start to roll my eyes at the sight, but stop short when a stabbing pain shoots through my head. Medicine, that’s what I need. I spin on my heels, my socks gliding over the floor, but my eyes catch on something that has my heart pounding as hard as my head.
The Cobra tattoo winding down one arm catches my attention, the head of the snake peeking around the man's wrist, West. West fucking Stone is in my dorm and Ally is dry humping him a few short feet from me. Balling my fist, I refuse to acknowledge him being here, so I keep moving into the kitchen to fix my coffee and make some food. My stomach grumbles, reminding me that I never made it into the kitchen last night for food. Not after my little run in with fuck boys brother. Ryker sure knows how to ruin my plans.
“Kens! I didn’t see you come out of your room. What are your plans today?”
Ally’s already talking a mile a minute, not knowing that each high pitched word she says slams into me like a freight train.
Turning away from the coffee pot, I eye her and she must see the pain on my face because she winces and sends me an apologetic look.
“Another migraine?” She asks.
Nodding, “Yeah, but don’t worry about it. I’m probably going to hang around here today. I need to get some work done before classes pick back up tomorrow. Sundays suck.”
“You used to love Sundays.” A low voice says.
Whipping my gaze to his, my heart stutters behind my ribs. His caramel brown eyes, so much lighter than his older brother, study me. Searching for a sign that he hit a sore spot. He did, but I refuse to let him know that.
My upper lip curls in a snarl as I bite back, “Like you know anything about me.”
Snapping at the beast of a jock isn’t the best move, but with my roomie's pussy pressing against him the way it is, I doubt he’d toss her off his lap. Going back to the coffee pot, I can feel the heat from his eyes seer into the back of my head. Adding to the pain that is already a consistent throb in the back of my skull. Opening the cabinet to grab my favorite mug, a small smile lifts at the corners of my mouth as the wordsBook crazy over boy crazystare back at me with a stack of books resting on the other side.
When I’m done fixing myself a breakfast bowl from the freezer, I step into the living room, not bothering to hide from West. It’s too late for that now, plus it’s my dorm I’ll eat wherever the hell I want. Hiding from the big bad wolf doesn’t help anything in the end. Opting to sit in the small recliner next to the one window in the decent sized room, my seat facing both the T.V and the couch. Having a sectional leaves little to no space.
“We were thinking about watching a few movies today and chilling here. You okay with that?” Ally speaks up, her focus finally pulled from West.
I can feel his stare on the side of my face. Shrugging my shoulders, letting her know that it’s fine with me. I can't help but notice the surprise behind his eyes, but he hides it almost immediately.
“This is going to be so fun!” She squeals.
Huffing out a laugh, I finish off my breakfast while an old friend and new enemy tracks my every move. It’s not long before Ally is planted on her ass next to West while she hounds me about last night, throwing out the fact that I didn’t get in until past midnight. She only knows that because I was still gone when she went to bed.
“I went out to clear my head.”
I can’t stop myself from glancing at West.
A wide smile spreads across Ally’s face, “Oh my gooooddd! Who was it? Did you go back to his place?" She’s practically bouncing in place.
West raises his eyebrows in question, waiting for my response, both of them watching me like I’m prey.
Wetting my lips, my mouth opens but snaps shut.
“I knew it! You were with a guy last night.”
My eyes bounced from her to West several times, but no words came out. I can see it click in his head. The wheels turning behind her giddy squeaks and squeals. I’m sneaking around with someone even with a no touch ban on me. That’s what he sees, but a small part of me laughs at the fact he’ll never find out the truth. I owe him nothing. Not after they abandoned me.
“Are you going to spill the beans?” Ally says, her eyes wide with excitement, such a girl.
West watches me, “Yeah, princess share with the class. Who is it you're going to see so late?”
His question sounds innocent. The way he worded it to seem like he’s joking around, playing with me, teaming up with Ally. I know the truth. He can’t wait to run off to Ryker with whatever he came here to learn. They promised I’d suffer. He warned me that I’d never fully be out of sight but I thought my dorm was safe. Off limits. Oh how wrong I was. They owned Hawthorne but then again so did I and it’s about time they got a taste of that.
“If you really wanna know who I was with, why don’t you ask your brother.”
Planting a seed, I wait to see if he bites. Not mentioning one by name only goes so far because we both know Cole wouldn’t touch me, not after everything he lost. But Ryker? He’d touch me if only to break me and I’m going to make sure he shatters right there with me.
“Bullshit.”
Pressing my lips to the side, my eyes widened mockingly, reaching up to pull down my sweatshirt to reveal my neck, “Looks like he wanted a taste last night. So much for me being off limits. He sure doesn’t follow the rules he puts in place. Does this mean you and Cole can play too? Or is he the only one allowed to play with his food?”
