“Nope,” Logan said. “I’m trusting you. This is your first test. Fuck up my skin, especially with my men’s initials in it, and we’re gonna have problems.”
I rolled my eyes. “Kid, I haven’t fucked up a single tattoo yet. But okay.” I sat on my stool and scooted closer to him. “Ready?”
“Poke me,” Logan said.
Jaxon choked on his food, and I burst into laughter.
CHAPTER 17
Jaxon
Standing from my desk chair, I grabbed my coffee mug and headed for the kitchen, in need of caffeine. My new client’s finances were a mess, to say the least, and it was a headache to work all of it out. She’d hired our firm after a recommendation from a friend of hers, so my boss sent her file over to me to work on. Now, I understood why. I’d been at this for over ten years now and had experience under my belt. Experience wasdefinitelyneeded for this clusterfuck.
My phone rang from my office, and I sighed, setting my mug down on the kitchen counter before going back to my office. Eros’s name was on my screen. Quickly, I swiped my thumb over the green icon and put my phone on speaker so I could go make my coffee.
“Hey,” I greeted. “What’s up?”
“I’m worried about Zeppelin,” Eros told me quietly. I paused, coming to a stop in the middle of my living room. “He had a therapy appointment today, and he’s… not okay. And I mean,he’snevernormal after an appointment with his therapist, but usually, he’ll go to the gym, then come home and fuck me half-stupid, and then we’ll cuddle. But he’s just… in the shower. No gym. No sex. And he’s gone silent. I don’t know what to do Jaxon.” Eros sounded wrecked and destroyed. My own heart clenched for both of them.
“I’m coming over,” I told him, my coffee and work forgotten. “I just need your address.” I hadn’t been to their place yet—mostly because they just kept showing up at my house and it’d never crossed my mind to go to theirs one day.
“I’ll text it to you,” Eros told me. “But Jaxon, he might be… volatile. He doesn’t like anyone seeing him like this.”
“I can deal with volatile,” I assured him. “Been there. Done this before.” Logan had been a fucking train wreck, but I’d stuck by him, and I hadn’t given up on him. “I’ll see you in a bit. Hang in there, okay? And for now, just try to give him space.”
I ended the call after he said okay and headed out the door. Once I was in my car and out of the neighborhood, I hit the highway, following the GPS to Eros’s and Zeppelin’s house, going as fast as I could without getting a speeding ticket.
“You pass by a grocery store, too!” Eros shouted as I opened my car door. I sighed. “We’ve been out of milk for two days, and you didn’t tell me, and you didn’t buy any! I don’t drink milk like that, Zeppelin. How the fuck was I supposed to know?!”
“Are you just fucking blind every time you look in the fucking fridge?!” Zeppelin barked. I quickly rushed up the porch and tried the door handle, finding it unlocked.
“Am I supposed to just fucking notice something like that?!” Eros yelled as I pushed open the front door and stepped inside. Noticing their shoes by the front door, I quickly toed mine off and hurriedly walked further into the house, finding them in the kitchen, both of them red in the face and angry.
“You fucking?—”
“Hey!” I barked. Both of them turned to look at me. I marched forward and gently pushed them back from each other. Keeping my hand plastered against Zeppelin’s chest, his rapidly beating heart thudding against my palm, I looked at Eros. “Go take a breather,” I gently told him. “I’ve got it from here.”
Eros clenched his jaw and nodded before turning on his heel and storming away, his muscles tensed and his fists clenched at his sides. When I heard a door down the hall slam shut, I turned to face Zeppelin, who was still stewing in his rage, his dark eyes almost black as he glared at me.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” he growled at me.
“Diffusing this shit,” I told him calmly. “Eros called me because he was worried about you.”
Zeppelin scoffed. “We go through this twice a fucking month. Been at this for years together. He should be used to this by now.”
I crossed my arms over my chest, meeting his stare with an even one of my own. “He is, but what he’snotused to is you pushinghim away. Shutting him out. Not following your usual routine after a therapy appointment.”
Zeppelin gritted his teeth before baring them at me like a rabid dog. He was so fucking close to snapping. I braced myself for it—preparingmyself for it. Because when he did, it was going to hurt. I knew it was. But I would endure anything for him. For both of them. Sometime in the past few weeks, I’d fallen in love with both of them. They were my fucking world. How could they not be when they were both so inherently good and so damn perfect despite all their flaws?
“Ican’tgo through my normal routine,” Zeppelin seethed. “The gym was closed due to some fucking leak. And there’s too much… too much of fuckingeverythinginside of me to take it out on Eros.”
I stepped up to him so our chests touched. “So take it out on me,” I told him, my voice low and gravelly.
He inhaled sharply, his nostrils flaring and his eyes widening. “Jaxon, you have no fucking clue what you’re asking for.”
I gripped the front of his shirt and yanked him the rest of the way against me. His tongue flicked out over his bottom lip, and my cock hardened. “Zeppelin, I will bleed for you. Beg for you. Fucking hurt for you. You have to know that by now.” I’d woken up with him every time he and Eros and slept over and he had a nightmare or a flashback. I brought him back out of his head with no questions when he got too lost in his mind. I let him fuck me hard and ruthlessly out of nowhere every single time just because he needed something to control.
“I amyours,” I breathed against his mouth. “Take what you need.”
