God, he felt good too. As he moved within her, she fisted the blanket, her fingers curling into the thick cotton as if it were a lifeline, keeping her rooted in reality.

His thrusts became more powerful. She could feel him everywhere. His harsh breaths fanning her cheek, his large, strong body hovering above her, his cock filling her and coaxing sensations she’d never felt so intensely before.

“Fuck, Anya, I’m gonna come.”

She wasn’t expecting another orgasm. Hell, she hadn’t been expecting the first. But he did something—twisting her a bit with his hand cupping her ass—and he found some magic spot to hit.

She held her breath, grinding against him as ripples of sensation coursed through her, starting at her core and spreading. Wave after wave of pleasure taking over her whole body until it ended in an explosion that had her shouting Vas’s name.

His shout followed soon after.

Spent, she flopped her limbs over him as he fell to his side, taking her with him. He traced a hand up her thigh, over her hip, to her lower back, where he held her close. They lay like that for a few minutes, each lost in their own euphoria, trying to gain their breath.

“Thank you,” she mumbled against his chest, trailing a hand up his side. “That was a first for me. I’ve never had an orgasm during sex before.”

“I like that, being your first,” he swiped a lock of hair from her cheek, “But not liking you thinking of other guys while we’re in bed together.”

“I wasn’t thinking of anyone else, per se.”

He rolled her over, hovering over her. “I plan to wipe every man you’ve ever been with out of your mind.”

She snorted. “That won’t be hard. There’s only been two.”

“That’s two too many,” he growled.

She wasn’t sure she wanted to know the answer, but her stupid mouth had a mind of its own. “How many women have you made love with?”

“None.”

A snort popped out before she could stop it. “We both know that’s a lie.”

He traced a thumb along her jaw. “I’ve had sex. I’ve fucked. But I’ve never made love. This was a first for me too.”

Staring into his eyes, at the vehemence she saw there, she believed him.

Satisfaction filled her. Though they might not be each other’sfirsts, they were a first for each other.

Reaching up, she cupped his jaw, brushing the stubble she found there with the pad of her thumb. He closed his eyes, pressing into her touch then his hand captured her wrist and his lips found her palm, kissing it.

Never in her life had she felt cherished, but that’s exactly how she felt in that moment. With her head on Vas’s chest, listening to the beat of his heart, and with his arms wrapped around her, holding her close, she soaked in the feeling.

Committing it to memory so she would never forget.

Chapter 19

“Do you think this meat is okay?” Anna directed her question to Vas who looked way more edible than the beef in question, leaning bare chested and clad only in his jeans against the kitchen counter.

Anna had stolen his shirt to wear but if the heated gaze Vas watched her with was anything to go by, she didn’t think he minded. Especially since it was the only article of clothing she currently wore.

“I’m sure it’s fine.”

“I don’t know, it’s been a while.”

They’d made love a second time, then snuggled until their growling stomachs had pulled them back downstairs.

He pushed off the counter and made his way over, reaching around her to snatch a chunk of meat from the pan. He popped it into his mouth and chewed. “Tastes okay.”

She picked up a wooden spoon and turned the burner on under the pan to reheat the meat. “Fine, but if we get sick, it’s not allowed to reflect on my cooking.”
