And he liked what he saw.
“You like that, huh?” I asked, smiling down at him.
He nodded slowly, and I saw in that nod that he was doing everything he could to hold back. He’d been fighting giving in to this since we started. I wanted to make this good for him.
“Love it,” he said. “Everything about it.”
Love. He didn’t love me. Not yet. That would come, though. I would fall in love with him too. I knew it as much as I knew I really, really liked making love to this guy.
“I want you to come for me now,” I said, slowly starting to move again. The pain was still there, but my orgasm had dulled it. Now I just felt tight. “I’m going to fuck you until you come.”
He squeezed his eyes closed and moaned. Yes, he liked when I talked dirty to him. I’d keep that in mind moving forward.
“Kiss me,” he said.
I was all too happy to comply. I leaned down and pressed my lips to his as I began moving on him. I still couldn’t go too far, but it seemed to be far enough for him.
“Christ, that feels good,” Tyler said.
His eyes closed, but they didn’t stay closed for long. He opened them and looked up at me as I rode him. He even pulled me down for another kiss.
He didn’t go deeper, but he did start moving faster and faster beneath me. That was how I knew he was getting closer. I matched his movements, finally breaking the kiss to look down at him. His eyes shuttered closed again, even though he seemed to be fighting to keep them open. He wanted to watch me, but his desire was getting the better of him.
With a loud grunt, he stilled, gripping my hips as he likely continued to fight the urge to plunge deeper. Someday he’d be able to do that without worrying about causing me pain. I couldn’t wait for that day.
And then he stilled, pulling me closer, his arms going around me. That was when I knew, once and for all, that this guy wasn’t going anywhere. What was happening between us was real.
“I’ve changed my mind,” he said after a long silence.
I pulled back to look down at him, curious what he meant. I knew in my heart it wouldn’t be anything bad.
“I don’t want to go home and nap alone,” he said. “If you don’t have plans, I’d love for you to join me.”
I smiled. “I have to get Dad’s laptop, remember?”
He gasped. “I forgot all about that. Hmm.”
“Why don’t you drop me off at my car and meet me at the hospital later?” I asked. “Then we can have dinner and…do all this over again.”
“Now that sounds like a plan,” he said. “But first, can we just sit here for a few more minutes?”
Nodding, I returned to his embrace. As far as I was concerned, we could sit here for the rest of our lives.
EPILOGUE
TYLER
“Can you take these hot dogs to the kids?”
I aimed that question at Bianca’s dad, who’d just stepped over to the grill on the patio of our cabin in Sugarplum Farms. My top guys at the fire station were here for a cookout and they’d brought all their kids, which meant we had a crapload of people seated around the tables in the back yard.
“Can do,” Andy said. “I think your wife wanted another seltzer.”
I nodded. I’d been grilling out on the back patio for the better part of an hour, but I had the easy part of the job. My wife of nearly a decade was across the way, where she, Mina, Aurora, Simone, Ella, and Amber were making sure all the kids had food and that the younger kids weren’t throwing that food at each other.
“I’m done here.” I shut down the grill and leaned over to grab a beer from the cooler. “Want one?”
Andy smiled at me. “You know me.”
