Avery clutched her stomach, still looking terrified, but nodded.

Not giving her any more time to overthink it, I opened the door and looked straight to my office. She fit perfectly behind my body and the tubes. Someone would only notice her if they looked down to see her feet.

I don’t think she breathed those few seconds it took to get to my office. I shut and locked my door, setting the tubes to the side as I pulled her hard against me. My mouth smashed against hers, kissing her as if I hadn’t seen her in weeks.

“I need you,” she mewled as she finally got my belt unbuckled. My dick was already rock hard and pushing its way out to her. She freed it and stroked the shaft, rubbing the head against the soft material of her sweater. “Mm, my big beautiful cock.” She sank to her knees and licked the tip. “So hard, so tasty.”

A low groan reverberated in my throat. I loved that she called ithercock. It truly was hers and only hers. “Fuck, your mouth is so hot, vixen. But I know something hotter.”

As much as I wanted to pump into her sweet mouth, she was in pain. Sucking my dick wasn’t going to help anyone but me. She whimpered as I drew her to her feet and kissed her as I urged her backwards. I growled as I lifted her sweater. “I want you naked on my desk.”

“Nathaniel.” Avery reached for my erection again but I swung my hips away. She’d have me coming way too fast if she touched it again so soon.

I swept the file folders and the in-and-out box off to the far side where my laptop sat. There was plenty of room for her, and as I lifted her to sit upon it, I realized my desk was also the perfect height. I smirked as I rid her first of her sweater and bra, taking a moment to get my fill of her luscious tits. Her head fell back as she groaned, and she kicked off her boots.

“Fucking gorgeous.” I suckled one of her nipples before straightening and hooking my fingers around the top of her pants and panties. “Lift those hips, vixen.”

I pulled off the rest of her clothes and was struck by the immense beauty of her nude figure under the dim pinkish light of the late afternoon. After so many times of seeing her naked in so many positions, it shouldn’t shock me how magnificent she was, but I was in awe. My heart so much that I wanted this Omega there for every second for the rest of my life.

I must have been standing there staring at her for too long, because Avery grabbed my tie and yanked me to her. I dropped my pants the rest of the way and thrust my aching dick deep into her. Our cries were muffled by each other’s mouths.

There was no slow build up. I fucked her hard and fast. We clung to one another as our bodies slapped. I cupped her taut ass to hold her in place. Fuck, she was sublime.

“Yes, so good,” she breathed out as she devoured my kisses. Our tongues twined as I swelled within her. “Oh Nathaniel… Oh God!”

Avery came apart, and I held her as she shuddered, eating up every one of her cries. And when I finally climaxed, I pressed my mouth to her neck to contain my roar. My jaws demanded I open them, bellowed that I bite her and make her mine.

There was nothing I wanted more, but it wasn’t quite the time. Not yet. Her heart needed to be invested as much as mine.

I sat down on my chair with her limp legs splayed out on either side of me and just held her. We didn’t say anything as our heavy breathing slowed back to normal, nor did we mention the fact that our hearts continued to beat hard.

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE – Avery

It was like I was a ragdoll, all floppy, soft, and warm. A smile lit up my face, and I had no doubt my cheeks were rosy and my hair a tangled ball of yarn. I would happily sit there all day snug in Nathaniel’s arms with his knot locked in me.

As much as I was sure I’d fall asleep, I was more awake than I had been the past few days. I gazed out at the massive pine just outside of his third story windows. Snow weighed down the boughs and tiny icicles hung from needles like diamonds. More snow was already falling, and we’d likely have another three to five inches by the morning.

The dark brown leather of his chair was soft and felt comforting as I trailed my fingers back and forth along a small spot. On my left side, the wall was bare except for three framed blueprints. I tried squinting to read the little print, but I couldn’t quite make it out. “What are those?”

Nathaniel kissed my shoulder before turning to see what I was looking at. “Those are the three blueprints which made the biggest impacts in my life. The first one,” he motioned to the one closest to the door. “That’s Gropius House built by Walter Gropius. It’s the design which made me want to be an architect. I visited it when I was a child. A house so ahead of its time, futuristic for being built in nineteen thirty-eight, and looking like it should seem alien in its environment, but it fit right in with its bold lines and simplicity.”

The house that inspired Nathaniel Donner. A piece of his soul. “It’s lovely. I’ve never seen the house, but of course I’ve heard of Gropius. What are the other two?”

He shifted slightly under me, his hand resting on my thighs. “The second one is the design I submitted which won me my internship at Gensler. Its flowing footprint is reminiscent of Gropius House but with more grand accents and modern amenities.”

“You interned with Gensler?” My jaw dropped. They were one of the most prestigious firms in the world. “Why did you leave?”

“I learned a lot there, but in the end, they were almost strictly commercial. I wanted the challenges of building on a smaller level and to create houses that would improve people’s lives.”

“You wanted to design houses that people would love.” When he smiled at my comment, it sent tingles from my head to my toes. He wanted to make homes. And while he was more modernist in his approach and I was more green, that’s exactly what I wanted to do too.

“The last one,” Nathaniel drew my attention back to the final framed blueprint. “It’s the first house my team and I here at Donner Designs built. We called it the Pond House, not because there’s a pond kissing one side of the building, but that was and is the family who lives there.”

The impact of that wall with just three blueprints on it was astounding. This was Nathaniel. His brilliance, his ambition and creativity, and his sentiment. My heart swelled and I kissed him, looking at him as if I hadn’t seen him before. “It’s a beautiful design. Hey, my aunt worked on that with you, didn’t she?”

Nathaniel nuzzled me and nodded. “Your aunt, Ruby, Gina, Eli, Grant, and Roberto. All of them still here.”

Everyone around the office joked how fearsome our boss was, and his critiques could be rough. Yet it said so much about Nathaniel that the original architects he hired when he started his firm were still there. Noelle loved her job, and from having met everyone else, they did too. The world might think Nathaniel was frightening, but he had nurtured loyalty and respect.
