“God, Ness, you never cared about pack stuff. Yes, I know who he is. He’s an Alpha, a pure blood Alpha, and you’ve mated.”

She could smell it on me. I smiled proudly. “We are and Sula’s vision, it was all wrong. Well… not wrong, but kind of. When she said I wouldn’t give Rolf a legacy, she didn’t mean Icouldn’t have kids. She meant I wouldn’t givehimkids. She also told me Zion and I would have twins. A boy and a girl.”

Neyla frowned. “And you believe her?”

“I don’t know, yes, I think.” I shrugged.

“But she’s the reason all this happened.”

I nodded. “She wasn’t trying to hurt me. She didn’t want me to marry Rolf. She knew I was fated to Zion.”

Neyla frowned deeper, thinking about what I was saying, then her eyes dropped to my stomach. “Twins?”

I smiled. “Yep.”

“Are you pregnant?”

“No…well, I don’t think I am. I could be.”

With the way Zion was handling me, I very well could have been but a part of me was still hesitant about the possibility.

“I’m so happy for you, sis.”

“Thank you.” My heart warmed feeling how genuine her admission was. “So you’ve been here in Diamond Falls?”

She sighed. “Yes, I didn’t want to go too far. I knew you were angry with me but I was hopeful…”

That I would come back.

“You’re coming with us, Neyla. You’re the only family I have.”

“That’s not true. You’re mated to a Bennett. You have his brothers, their pack…”

“And you. I don’t know how you feel but our parents no longer exist to me. If I never see them again, it would be too soon. You’re my family, which means my new family has to accept you too and they will. They’re nothing like Calhoun. The way they embraced Mina, and then me, was beautiful, Neyla. They’ll do the same for you.”

“I don’t know, Ness. You have a new life…”

“But that doesn’t mean I have to forget the only part of my old one that still matters to me.” I covered her hand and squeezed. She smiled and rolled her eyes.

“Fine, but only if your man agrees.”

“He will.”

“With the way you’re grinning right now and the way he wanted to snatch my head from my shoulders when he thought I was here to do you harm, I’m pretty sure he’ll do whatever you want.”

My smile blossomed fast. I ducked my head and brushed my fingers over my mark. “Yeah, well the point is I want you to go; so you’re going.”

I hugged my sister again, knowing that not only did my life feel whole because of Zion but having my sister back in my life placed a permanent seal on my happiness.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

ZION

It was just after lunch the next day when we made it back to the city. Neyla had been staying at some shitty hotel downtown in Diamond Falls because it was cheap so I purchased a room at our hotel because Nessah wanted her close.

When we woke up that morning, I drove Neyla to her place where she and Nessah packed her things and the three of us left, heading to the city. As much as I wanted Nessah all to myself, I also loved that she had her sister. Knowing how I felt when Xander was gone, and the way my brothers expressed their struggle with the three months I was chasing a mate that was never mine, gave me an understanding of how hard it had to be for both Nessah and Neyla to be separated.

I reached out to Lazar to let him know I was bringing Neyla with us. He wasn’t thrilled but also understood I wasn’t asking his permission. The decision was mine to make. She was my mate’s sister and if having Neyla here with us was what she needed, it was as good as done. No one, not even my brothers, could challenge my decision.
