I roll to my side and capture her mouth with mine. A soft kiss with immense power.
“The plug?” she asks softly.
“I’ll get it.” I pluck the ears from her head. “I like these,” I say then toss them onto the nightstand. She rolls to her side, giving me her ass, so I can remove the tail. I take the hand towel I stashed in my nightstand and wipe away the excess lubricant from between her cheeks.
“I... I can do that.” She tries to take the cloth from me, but one stern look at her and she retracts her hand.
After she’s cleaned up, I stand on wobbly legs to gather all the toys and plunk them on the discarded tray.
“The collar?” She lightly touches the bell hanging from the ring.
“It stays.” I take the tray back to the closet where I keep my toys and leave it to be cleaned later. I’m tired. The day has been stressful, but what’s wrung me out is the strength it took to hold back with Stephania.
I climb back in bed and get her settled beneath the covers before turning off the lights. A thin layer of sweat dries on my back; I’ll need another shower in the morning. She’ll join me.
“Stephania,” I say gently. “How do you feel right now?”
She doesn’t pretend to not understand the question. “Light.”
“Light?”
“Yeah, like all the weight of the day, the week is gone.” She rolls to her side and stares at me. “I still don’t understand it, and maybe it is wrong to enjoy it so much, but I haven’t felt so... real in a long time.”
Tears shimmer in her eyes. Does this revelation scare her, make her sad?
I catch the tear as it falls with the pad of my thumb.
“Vincenzo, what happens in a few days when Roberto’s off the antibiotics? Are you going to just let me go home?”
It’s a soft question carrying a lot of weight.
“Go to sleep, pet.” I run my finger down the length of her nose and turn to my back.
She starts to roll away from me, but I grab her arm and pull her closer. I’m not ready to let her go yet.
Will I ever be?
