I move my hips even more so to the beat of the music, waving my arms over my head.

Celeste is next to me, keeping an eye on her brother and Trudy, who still haven’t come up for air from their dance-a-thon and appear to be having way too much fun.

I lock eyes with Huds because if he thinks he can dish it out, then so can I!

I move my hands down my body, over my tight bodysuit and down my ribs to my hips where I shake my ass to the beat. His eyes never leave me. They might trail down to where I’m shaking my body, but he never looks away. I’m caught up in the moment way more than I care to realize. But in that second, with the lights flashing over his face, the intense stare he’s set upon me, and his rigid stance, there is nothing else.

Nothing else worth noticing anyway. There’s only the heat between us, and I know it’s there and it’s building. He can denyit all he wants. If he didn’t feel anything then why doesn’t he look away? Why is he devouring me with his eyes, even though not one part of his face or his body has moved. I feel wetness pooling in my lace underwear, thinking about if he’s hard watching me. And there’s no way I can tell that from here but if the other night in the truck is anything to go by…

“Huds is staring at you,” Cece giggles, bumping her hip into mine.

It’s only then that I look from him to my best friend. “He’s making serious eyes,” I agree. Because what’s the point denying it?

“What are you going to do?” she asks over the music.

I press my lips together to save myself from laughing over my next statement which is all I have with my mind in such a muddle and my body practically on fire. “I think I’m going to ride that damned moose,” I tell her and I don’t just mean the mechanical one. “If it’s the last thing I do.”

Hudson

I didn’t come to the bar tonight to watch Georgia-Blue wave her ass around on the dance floor in those tight pants, or for her to purposefully touch herself while palming it off as dancing. But she confounds me at every fucking turn. I also realize Gray is around here somewhere and the last thing I want him seeing is me ogling his sister.

I wasn’t lying when he asked me to keep tabs on her the second he heard we were both going to the same wedding. This can hardly be classed as me putting that into practice.

When she’s finished her teasing routine, one I can feel somewhere I shouldn’t, she comes gliding over to me and Owen looking flushed and warm from her exertions.

“Nice moves,Blue Belle,” I say, as she leans over to get the bartender's attention and she stops in her tracks.

“Glad you liked it.”

I tug her by the elbow. “How about you save those moves for Florida when the whole of Stoney Creek isn’t watching.”

“I don’t care if they are,” she fires back like the true little spitfire she is. “The whole of Stoney Creek can be watching, just notyou.”

I don’t release the grip I have on her elbow and she doesn’t attempt to move out of my grasp. “Really? Your ass shaking toward me seemed to say something else.”

“It wasn’t toward you, trust me,” she says. “Maybe it was to Owen, how do you know?”

I shake my head. This woman is unbelievable. “Whatever you say,Princess.”

“Thanks,GP.” She orders a round of drinks for her and the rest of the girls she’s with and I’m about to retort something back to her when Gray comes up behind me and pats me on the shoulder, making me fucking jump.

“She giving you trouble?” he asks with amusement in his tone. Clearly unaware of the effect his sister is having on me.

“No more than usual,” I retort as I quickly release her elbow and try my hand at acting normal, despite the fact I’m feeling hyped and ignited from watching Georgia on the dancefloor.

“Georgia, can you give Huds a break for five seconds?” Gray slings an arm around her shoulders and gives her a gentle shake.

“What have I done now?” She turns around to face us both while the drinks are being made.

“Who knows, but there’s always something. Huds is going to look out for you in Florida, just so you know.”

“Oh, really?” Georgia narrows her eyes toward me. “And how, pray tell, is he going to do that?”

I cough into my palm. Oh fuck, this woman knows no bounds.

“You can start by not giving the man so much grief. Every time I see you both, you’re annoying the shit out of each other.”
