They chuckled at her. Tillos lowered himself, pressing his lips there against the swell of her belly. “It is known, aevea, that humans adapt well to their mates.Verywell.”

“It is why you can always take us, even when we are bigger than you,” Sollit said, running his fingers under her breast. “You adapt to your mates. You adapt even better to our young.”

“Huh?” She blinked, startled.

Tillos smiled, stroking her belly. “Humans begin taking on the traits of their mates’ species when they are carrying their young. And you, aevea, are glittering gold.”

“Wait, do you think-?!” She gasped.

Chapter 52

Leah

She thought her mates were attentive before.

It was nothing compared to today now that they knew she was pregnant.

They were all laying on their bed after a wonderfully long session wherein they’d touched and caressed and adored every part of her body. If their goal had been to get her amorous and excited, they’d succeeded.

But then they’d gotten distracted by her belly. She was reclining on a pillow now, smiling down as the two of them had their heads laying on either side of her stomach – that wasn’t even yet showing signs of pregnancy. They shared the limited space like it was the only space heater in a cold room. The expressions of absolute bliss on their faces made her reluctant to move them, however.

The doctor-healer-person who’d fixed her up hadn’t said anything about her being pregnant. He did get an interesting look in his eye at one point, but she had been a bit too lost in her own trauma to do more than note it enough to realize it was even there afterwards.

Maybe he thought she already knew, or maybe he just didn't care enough to tell her, or maybe even he wasn’t allowed to tell her – she didn't know how alien medical rules worked. It could be he didn't even notice it and she was only imagining he had a weird look at one point.

Whatever the reason, Leah didn't know until the guys noticed the new golden sheen to her skin. It was like she was covered in a layer of micro glitter. The effect was pretty. Proof of the baby she carried.

Because it was just one baby. Just like the guys had planned, allowing only Tillos to fill her pussy meant that he alone had fertilized her egg. Which meant a girl.

Leah had briefly been concerned that only Tillos being the father meant that Sollit wouldn’t care for her like one. Technically, he would be an uncle, right?

But when she’d brought it up, Sollit had looked first hurt, then determined.

“She is every bit my daughter just as much as she is Tillos’!” He’d declared so forcefully, she’d started in surprise. “No test can ever determine who is the one who bred you between the two of us, so no one will ever know if we don’t tell them, and there’s no reason we ever would. She is my daughter, and if anyone says otherwise, I will deal with them myself!”

“I’m sorry,” she’d blurted quickly, unprepared for the sheer indignation of his words.

Sollit jumped, then immediately rushed to apologize. But she’d embraced him. Apologizing again for saying such a thing. It had been a worry to her because she knew the men of her churchwould never have accepted another man’s kid as his own – even his own brother’s.

Of course, the men of her church would never share a wife. They’d probably take more than one – though her religion hadn’t actually reached that point yet – but they would have declared her way to be wrong and unnatural and probably evil.

Leah was in the wrong not just for the accusation, but for forgetting that she was mated to a pair of avanava males, and that’s not how they did things.

That was about the time the pampering session began. They reminded her that they adored her and always would, and that her daughter belonged to both of them equally, just as any baby boys would, and any other girls they’d have in the future.

Leah could only smile, stroking her hands over their hair, prompting them to open their eyes and smile at her in return.

When human women carried hybrid babies, they would experience the pregnancy symptoms of the species that impregnated them – or so she’d been told. That’s why she’d suddenly broken out into golden flecks. That was a rather common pregnancy symptom – and why golden flecks were considered lovely and desirable as a regular trait. It was considered to be a mark of beauty and fertility, for males and females, so someone being born with them and not just having them appear while carrying a baby was very pretty to them.

She was also apparently going to get cravings really bad, but for one thing in particular – her mate’s cum. As the pregnancy continued, she’d start wanting to drink them down probably multiple times daily, especially towards the end. It was a good source of nutrients for herself and the baby, and she’dapparently become quite feral for it. To the point that her males might have trouble keeping up with her desires.

A warning that had earned twin looks of incredulity and challenge from them when they read the warning while looking up what to expect from an avanava female pregnancy – which might as well be avanava/human hybrid pregnancy, since she would experience their symptoms with only a few changes. Leah could only laugh. She already enjoyed their taste. She couldn’t imagine wanting themmore.

She was also apparently going to have an issue with her joints. Avanava females tended to be more slender than humans, and to make way for the baby, their joints became very loose and more mobile earlier than the same would have happened in a purely human pregnancy. There was some concern that she might pop a bone out of socket.

Her mates looked determined to carry her everywhere if they had to protect her hips. She wouldn’t be allowed to pick up anything in case she popped a shoulder. She was allowed to keep singing and acting since that would be under zero gravity, but the guys promised to watch her carefully. She wasn’t sure it was going to be quite that bad, but she appreciated their concern anyway.

Whatever happened, however, the advanced medicine out here in space would be able to fix her back up, so she wasn’t worried about anything except her baby. So long as the little one was alright, she could handle her joints being hypermobile with a tendency to dislocate.
