Page 5 of Remember Always

Thanksgiving passed like it did every year. We all ate too much then ate a little more, and when eight o’clock rolled around Link and I were more than ready to go home. “What’s on the agenda for tomorrow? I mean besides trying on tuxes?” I asked as we walked to our house. It was a foggy night, and the cold seeped into my bones through my coat making me shiver.

“Well, there are a few last-minute things to take care of at Sam and Erik’s, but everyone is helping so it won’t take long. I want it to be perfect, for us and everyone else,” Link said as we walked up to the door. “Now I don’t want you to worry about anything. Your only job is to get your tux fitted and let me take care of the rest.”

I stepped inside and a thought hit me. “Please tell me we’re not waiting until we’re married to have sex.” We’d known each other for all of our adult lives, and once we’d become a couple, I craved him every minute of every day we were apart and even when we were in the same room. Which was also part of the reason I was considering only working one day a week at the salon in Sacramento.

Link froze with a stunned look on his face before he pulled the door shut behind him and backed me up until my back hit the wall. “Are you kidding me? We’re getting married, not acting out some first-time fantasy. We waited long enough to get together. Getting married just makes it even better. But even if we never got married, I don’t think I could ever love anyone more than I love you.” He brushed his knuckle across my cheek before leaning in to kiss me softly.

“Take me to bed,” I groaned in his ear as he kissed along my neck and slowly wove his fingers with mine. He pulled back enough to meet my eyes before tugging me along by my hand. He walked backwards to our bedroom, his eyes never leaving me, before sitting on the bed and pulling me to stand between his legs.

“I don’t think I’ll ever get used to you sleeping next to me every night,” he said as he helped me slip off my jacket before tugging my shirt over my head. His hands slid up my sides before gliding over my stomach and chest. I was lost in his touch, and when I looked down to meet his eyes, they were already on me. “I love you,” he said, his voice full of sincerity and more emotion I would have ever thought possible for one heart to feel.

My hand went to his cheek, and I marveled in the fact this wonderful, sweet man loved me. His eyes held more kindness and warmth than I’d ever experienced from anyone. “I love you too.” I pulled him close as he wrapped his arms around my waistand rested his head against my stomach. We stayed that way for a few long moments, enjoying the quiet and the warmth.

He drew in a deep breath and leaned back enough to meet my eyes. His were now filled with fire, and he didn’t hesitate to unfasten my pants and shove them down to my knees. He palmed my hardness through my boxers and the longer he made me wait, the more anxious I was for him to fuck me. Surprising me, he stood and guided me face down on the side of the bed. We laughed at his antics, but when he pulled down my boxers and gripped my balls from behind and tugged, I slumped over on the bed and spread my legs as wide as my pants would allow.

“Do what you want,” I mumbled.

“Oh, I plan to,” he said and palmed my ass cheeks. I listened as he unzipped his own pants, and his buckle clunked when it hit the floor. Just as I was about to laugh at him for not taking the time to undress, he surprised me by rubbing some lube on my hole and pressing his thumb just inside me.

“Link,” I groaned and gripped the bed as tight as I could.

“I’ve got you, baby,” he murmured close to my ear before slowly pressing into me. “I want you so bad. No one has ever made me want them as bad as you.”

I focused on his words, but my senses were on overdrive as he slowly pressed deeper into me. When he was fully seated, he pulsed inside me a few times before slowly pulling out again. He ran his hands up and down my back before grabbing a handful of my hair and pulling me back to him for a kiss. It hurt, but it also did crazy things to me, and I never wanted any of it to end. “I love you,” I said when he let go and gradually picked up his pace.

He gripped my hips and started to move. His grunts and groans fueled my desire even more and I moved against him as best I could. Not that he needed any help, he was more than capable of guiding us both to an amazing ending. He was everything to me. My love, and my life. Thoughts of how goodand perfect it felt when we were together streamed through my mind as he grunted and pulled me up to his chest. “I want it to last longer, but with you I can never control myself. You’re my dream come true, Andy.” He slowed his pace and pressed in as deep as he could before pulling almost all the way out. The contrast between him pounding me as fast and hard as he could and then going slow and deep put me on the edge.

I reached down and gripped myself and squeezed, hoping for just a little longer before my body took over and found its release. “Not yet, baby,” Link murmured. I nodded and moved against him as my body started to scream for relief.

“Can’t wait much longer,” I managed to say.

“Then don’t,” he whispered against my ear. His words, and the feel of his warm breath so close had me shooting onto the bed before my mind registered what was happening. He followed right after, and as we panted and tried to recover, sweat poured down my face as he slowly slid out of me.

I turned enough to see his face and I knew right then I would never get tired of seeing his love for me reflected in his eyes. “I love you, and you’re my dream too. I’m just sorry it took so long for me to see it.” We’d had this talk many times, but we both knew neither of us were ready to be together, until we were. Then it was magic.

He pulled his pants up enough to help me stand on my legs that were still wobbly. “Let’s get cleaned up and get to bed. We’ve got things to do tomorrow.”

“You said I only had to pick up the tuxes.” He laughed and kissed me once again before guiding me to the bathroom without saying another word.

Iwas up and gone the next morning before Andy was awake. He’d worked hard this week, and I wanted him to get as much rest as he needed. He’d be getting his tux but the rest of us were going to be working at Sam and Erik’s to make it as magical and perfect as was humanly possible.

The truck bumped along the gravel road that led to their house, and when I was close enough to get a clear view of their house, I was surprised to see a few cars already there. Pulling up as near to the house as I could, I jumped out and jogged up to the door.

“Link, it’s about time you got here, we’ve been waiting for almost an hour,” Erik said from the kitchen where he and Samwere busy making breakfast for everyone. “Grab a cup of coffee, this is nearly done.”

“Morning, Link,” Jase said from where he stood next to Blair.

“Does he know?” Blair asked, taking a sip of her coffee.

“Nope, he has no clue. He thinks it’s a small wedding with only the locals. He has no clue that it’s being catered, or that his friends from Sacramento are going to come.” Just thinking about how surprised he’d be brought a smile to my face.

“The newspaper article is a great idea,” Blair said.

“We bought one of them at a craft fair when we first met. I chased down the vendor and asked if they could do something special and that was the result.” The craftsman had taken a picture of us and turned it into a painted image he’d then put over the top of a fake newspaper article announcing our marriage. It was so amazing it was all I could do to keep it from Andy. But I knew when he saw it displayed on the table at the wedding, he’d love it.
