Avery gives him her puppy dog look. "Cooper, this isn't good."
He nods with a solemn face. "Yes, I know. Now, go outside."
She reluctantly lets go of him, gives me a nasty glare, then stomps out of the office and slams the door.
Cooper turns his attention to me, shaking his head. "You really did it now, Dax."
"Yeah? What's that?"
"I know you released that video."
"Says who?" I ask, playing stupid just like I did with Bramwell.
Cooper comes over and sits, leaning back in the chair, similar to my position. We have many of the same physical features, but that's where it ends.
"Where did you just fly in from? France? Monte Carlo? Prague?"
He grinds his molars, staring at me.
"I have a lot of important things to do, so whatever it is you want to say, you might as well say it and get out of here."
He orders, "Stop this now, Dax."
"Next topic," I state.
Rage builds in his face. He announces, "I'm getting harassed on social media. I got black-listed at a club. This has to stop. Get your PR company to turn this around. Get Avery the legal representation she needs. And give her money back to her."
I laugh so hard, I tear up.
He slams his hand on the desk. "This isn't funny, Dax."
I stop laughing and give him a cocky look. "My PR company isn't doing shit for Avery. She can get her own legal representation because what she did was horrible."
"She's not getting away with it. You've ruined her reputation," Cooper declares.
I gape at him. "Jesus, you're just as sick as she is."
"Why? Because I don't want my sister in prison?"
"What about all the people she raped, whose lives she ruined? It's okay for them to go through life like that, as long as she's okay?" I question.
"She didn't rape them."
Rage fills me. "She drugged them. And she had others rape them! She deserves to burn in Hell!" I shout.
He clenches his jaw, glaring at me.
"The fact that you're sitting here and thinking it's okay for her to get away with what she's done only proves one thing."
"What's that?"
I accuse, "I'm sure you've added Trance to someone's drink or been part of their warped games."
"Shut up," he seethes.
"If there's nothing else you need to say, then get the fuck out of my office."
"Give her her money back, Dax," he orders.
