He whistles. "Damn, you're giving me a hard-on."

I giggle again, but I'm getting used to Dax's crazy statements and compliments. For some reason, I can't stop thinking about what his dick would feel like, and I know I need to stop that. I remove my shorts, jump in, and pop up next to him.

He holds on to the pad with one arm, then slides his other around my waist.

I curl my legs around his hips. "Hi!"

He chuckles, praising, "Thank God you get your hair wet."

"Why do you say that?"

He grunts. "The girls around here don't get their hair wet."

"No?"

He shakes his head. "No way."

"Well, they're missing out," I claim, then duck under the water.

He grabs me and kisses me as soon as my face breaks the surface.

I catch my breath and then kiss him back.

He retreats and then boosts himself up on the lily pad. He holds his hand out and helps me onto it.

We lie down side by side. He slides his arm under my back, tugs me into him, then faces me. His other hand traces the curve of my waist and over my hip, and my insides quiver with excitement. "Isn't this nice, Ivy?"

"Yes," I breathe.

"Great day, right?"

"Mm-hmm," I agree, staring at his lips, almost drooling for him to kiss me again. He leans closer but doesn't give it to me.

"When will you tell your dad about us?"

I open my mouth to speak, but nothing comes out.

Dax's disapproval fills his sharp features once more. "I need you to be honest with him, Ivy. I'm not going to hide us. Okay?"

I sigh. "Why are you bringing this up again? Let's just have a good day. I told you I'll talk to him."

"You promise me? I don't want to be hidden," he repeats.

Part of me likes that he doesn't want us hidden, but I know Dad won't be happy. However, Dax is right. We can't hide from my father. So I vow, "I promise you, I'll do it soon. Okay?"

He seems appeased by my answer. He finally kisses me, and it doesn't take long before he rolls on top of me, and my limbs wrap around his warm, hard frame. But then, the sound of a boat motor fills the air, and he retreats.

He mutters, "Fucking A."

"What?" I ask, as a boat steers toward us, then it slows.

"Dax," Bobby calls out.

My heart sinks as three women's heads pop up. Avery, a girl I've never seen, and Cindy appear.

Oh God, not now,I think. Things are perfect between Dax and me right now. I don't need her or Avery causing trouble. Bobby either.

Dax stays on top of me and shouts, "Go away."
