"She's not kissing you."

"Jesus. You've changed, Dax," Marcey accuses.

"I have not changed," I say, not wanting to have to explain this to Ivy.

"She's already kissed Bobby. What's the big deal? Besides, I'm a girl. It's not like I have a dick to compete with yours," Avery adds.

"I didn't. He kissed me," Ivy claims.

"You kissed him back," Avery states.

"I did not," she insists.

Marcey smirks. "You did. I saw your hands relax and your tongue twine with his."

It wasn't just me.

She did kiss him back.

Jealousy and fury flare at a new high throughout me.

"That's not true," Ivy insists, but now she's lying.

Maybe my little innocent slut isn't so innocent after all.

"Oh, but you did. So make your decision. Kiss me, and we can become friends, or keep me as your enemy," Avery demands.

"I didn't kiss him," Ivy repeats.

My chest tightens with the truth. She did. And now, she's going to have to pay for that mistake.

Ivy

Avery steps forward and softens her expression. She drags her fingers over my collarbone and studies me the same lustful way Dax usually does. The scent of her floral perfume flares around us, intoxicating me. She lowers her voice and says, "One kiss. We can be friends, Ivy. Don't you want to be my friend?"

My insides quiver. I open my mouth, but nothing comes out.

She moves closer, leaning into my ear. Her fingers dip lower, grazing my top. She slinks her other hand behind my back and caresses my spine. Tingles explode under her hot breath. She murmurs, "Let's be friends. Don't you think that's best?"

I inhale sharply, unsure why my body's tingling and what to do.

I'm drunk. That's what's happening.

"Ivy, please," she breathlessly begs, pinning her gaze on my mouth.

Dax yanks me away and quickly maneuvers me out of the room.

I can barely stay on my feet. My head buzzes.

What just happened?

Why did I take those shots?

Was I actually considering kissing Avery?

Dax continues moving me through the crowded room, and I grab him tighter, crying out, "Dax, slow down."
