Through her sobs, she stutters, "I-I?—"

All my jealousy and hurt skyrockets. "You had to have her, didn't you? You got a little taste of Lilly, then you had to have my sister too," I hurl, unable to contain my thoughts.

"I didn't," she cries out.

"Liar," I accuse.

"I didn't. You're a monster," she shouts.

"I'm a monster," I repeat, but I know I am.

"Yes, you did this. You set me up," she claims.

I freeze. This would normally be my glory moment, but there's nothing joyous about it.

Her eyes widen. She shakes her head in disappointment, and I've never felt so low. "Dax..."

I stay paralyzed. For the first time in my life, this hurts.

More tears fall. She brushes past me.

Avery's car pulls up. She demands, "Ivy, get in."

"Stay away from her," I order.

Avery smirks and Ivy jumps in her car. Before I can do anything, Avery peels away.

I run to my Porsche and race out of the parking lot, soon catching up with Avery.

She pulls through the main gates of the estate and heads toward Ivy's house.

I follow, my insides shaking. The moment I park behind Avery, I jump out. I rush toward them.

"Stay away from me," Ivy cries out.

"Yeah, Dax, stay away," Avery gloats.

"You stay out of this," I seethe.

Ivy opens the door.

John's tall frame looms in the doorway. He questions, "What's going on?"

"I can't tell you," Ivy sobs, and he pulls her into him.

"What did you do?" he accuses, pinning the blame on me.

"Nothing," I lie. Not that I did anything with the video, but I know what my role's been.

"You're such a liar, Dax," Avery states.

"Shut up," I bark at her.

Disgust fills John's face. He turns toward my sister. "What happened, Avery?"

"Like she's going to tell the truth," I hurl.

"Don't tell him," Ivy begs.
