“I used them, I didn’t destroy property.”

“D-destroy property?” He gasped, his hands patting down over the biker patch. “I made these average items a work of art! I mean, it’s not my best work, granted, but it is a huge improvement!”

“I don’t even want to know whose member jacket you destroyed, but if anyone catches you, you’re dead.”

“Catches me?” He laughed, his hands going to his hips, wiggling them back and forth. “I’m like lightning! In and out with high-velocity perfection.”

Chirp!

“I was told so.”

Chirp. Chirp!

“It doesn’t matter by who. I have more friends than just you, you know.”

Chiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrp! What sounded like a crackled laugh came from Bitzy, her fingers flying in the air.

Raven stirred next to me, our voices drawing her from the rest she needed. What she had been through the last week had to be a nightmare, plus what I put her through last night.

Putting my finger to my lips, I slowly inched away from her.

“She won’t wake.” Opie hopped off my leg to the end of the bed as Bitzy climbed up his back to her backpack. “Bitzy has been licking the residue of drugs coming off her skin for a long time, and she didn’t even budge.”

Chirp!

“You asked me to try it!” Opie shot back at her.

Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!

“You did too!”

“Stop licking her.” I put my feet on the ground, rubbing my face and running my fingers through my hair. I needed a shower badly.

“Look who’s talking!” Opie poked at my hip. “Someone is getting all possessive. Never thought I’d see that with you, fairy.”

His tease hit harder than I was expecting, the awareness that others saw what I wanted to deny. It was not possible. My kind didn’t have just one person.

We. Did. Not. Get. Possessive.

I had flashes of Kek and Lukas’s faces, the memory of waking up next to them, leaving them asleep, tangled in sheets, drenched in cum and sweat. My face was full of smiles, my chest warm, but not once could I say I felt possessive.

If I had walked back to them fucking, or adding someone, I would have grinned and joined in. The thought of walking in and seeing Raven with someone else hummed an incensed noise up my throat.

Fear reared through my chest like a toddler running with a knife. Cutting and slicing without consideration of the damage.

Seeing the brass knuckles left on the floor where I dropped them, still coated in her, awareness prickled over my skin, like I could feel her heartbeat within me, sense her clinging to my soul. It’s not possible. Taking in a breath, I peered over my shoulder at her. Her stunning face was at peace, surrounded by the wreckage we inflicted. The bedframe splintered, the mattress and sheets shredded from her claws. Magic still oozed, the bedding no longer smelling like the man who lived here, but of sex. Of us.

My lungs seized and my stomach knotted because all I wanted to do was curl back around her, push inside her, and wake her up with an orgasm.

Stay inside her all day.

Just her.

A rush of adrenaline shot me to my feet. The need to flee, to breathe, hurried me to the door. Swinging it open, I found clothes folded at the threshold. Grabbing my boots, pants, and a shirt, I tossed the girl’s clothes inside before rushing down the hall to the shower, not caring I was naked.

Emotion waited on the cusp, wanting to soak into my bones along with the water. I never let my mind settle as I showeredand got dressed, ignoring every mark on my body, every claim of her teeth and nails.

Because her claim went much deeper.
