When he catches me, he grins.

Blushing, I lower my head and look away.

Without a word, he goes and gets the glasses from the bar area. Then Pax carries a drink to me.

“What is it?”

“Chocolate liqueur and cream.”

With cocoa powder on the top and some shaved chocolate.

“The alcohol may make you drowsy, and the milk should help you stay asleep.”

Thoughtful. “Sounds good. Thank you,” I say as I accept the cocktail.

“We need to be sure you get your rest.”

“I see.” Grinning, I swirl the ingredients together. “Who are you most concerned about? Me or yourselves?”

“Yes,” Link replies, making me laugh.

The men drop into armchairs that are near each other. Both of them look like they are kings on their respective thrones.

A week ago, I couldn’t have imagined that I’d be so comfortable with them that I’d look forward to spending this kind of time together.

“What do you think?” Pax asks, leaning forward to pick up his whiskey.

I take a small sample. “Delicious.” My new favorite thing. “Feel free to make me one anytime. Every evening, for example.” I smile. Already I’m feeling spoiled, and I wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t admit I like it as much as I enjoy our lovemaking, and even the spanking.

Heat races through me. It’s because of the liqueur I tell myself. Nothing more.

“And how is everything else?” he asks.

I look at him. Has he read my mind?

“The spanking,” he prompts.

Hehasread my mind. How is that possible?

“We told you we’d be watching you.”

Still a little uncomfortable to be talking about this, especially since we’re not in an intimate scene, I change positions. “Nothing like I might have expected.”

“You didn’t use a slow word or a safe word,” Link says.

I shake my head.

“Awful?” Pax suggests. “Something you’d prefer not to do again?”

When I don’t respond, he offers, “Just okay? Take it or leave it? Intriguing? Wonderful?”

I shift once more.

He flicks a glance toward Link. “I think she liked it.”

“Did you, little dove?”

The experience was somewhere between intriguing and wonderful. Then again, everything I’ve done with them has been thrilling.
