Chapter Twenty-Two
Jensen
He smirks, seeming to ignore my drugged up comment, “You’re not the only one that knows how to fight.”
I try not to smirk at that. Under normal circumstances, he is a pretty good fighter, even then, I can beat him pretty fucking easily, and right now, he is high as a fucking kite, so I’ll be able to take him down without breaking a sweat. However, that’s not going to get me what I want, and in order to get him to kidnap me, I’m going to have to let him win. Hopefully, he’s high enough that he’s not going to realize how improbable it is that he’s beaten me.
“Sure,” I grin, “Alright, if we really have to do this, let's get it over with.”
He charges me, and I instinctively move to the side, letting him stumble as he doesn’t hit the resistance that he was expecting.
Whoops.
He hops up, looking mad, and then charges me again. This time, I let him make contact with me and knock me to the floor. We wrestle for a moment, and I let him get a few hits in as I hold back when I hit him, making sure that I don’t take him down. That is not what I’m trying to do here. I am aware that at any moment someone from the party could decide to leave or get something from their car and then we’re going to have a crowd and witnesses, and he won’t take me like he’s planning to and I want him to.
I let him get the upper hand and rain hits down on me, before he hits me in the face, it's not hard enough to knock me out but I pretend that it is, we need this to be over quickly. He only takes a moment to rest before he gets off me, and I hear a car unlock. He grabs me by my arms and drags me a few feet away to where his vehicle must be parked. I hear the door open and he struggles to lift me into the backseat before slamming the door closed behind me.
The backseat is a stupid place to put someone that you’re kidnapping; I mean, he didn’t even bind my hands or anything, and it would be really easy for me to overpower him and escape, or crash the car if I needed to.
Rafe
We get to the same position that we were in before we went to get our balaclavas just in time to see a car that we know belongs to Boyd pull up the drive. We watch as he gets out, seemingly muttering to himself, but my eyebrows dip in confusion as he moves to the back seat and pulls out Jensen, who is definitely pretending to be unconscious and is actually very aware of what's going on.
“Fuck,” Trick mutters. “Shield me.”
Riot and I surround him as he crouches on the floor and pulls out his phone, shielding it as much as possible. It’s a risk, but thankfully, with Riot and me surrounding him as well, the light from the screen shouldn't be visible and give away our position. Trick mutters some curses quietly before he pockets his phone and stands back up.
He starts signing and quickly explains the situation, Cash and Luc should be here any minute they were following Boyd, and Jensen has purposefully got himself kidnapped again.
For fuck sake.
“He has got to stop doing that,” Riot signs, rolling his eyes.
We should probably be more worried than we are, but the truth of it is, he does do this regularly, and he always comes out of it smiling. I would say unharmed, but that wouldn’t be true; he purposefully goads them, which ends up with him getting hurt. As we’ve said before a bored Jensen is a dangerous Jensen, and not just to other people but to himself as well.
A noise to our left has us turning in that direction, our weapons raised. Thankfully, Cash and Luc come into view, their balaclavas temporarily pulled up so that we recognize them. As soon as we lower our weapons they put them back in place so their identity is obscured again.
Cash looks behind us and signs, “Jensen is here then; we need to get in there right now; we don’t want to miss anything important.”
Trick nods and starts signing, filling them both in, “We have only seen two guys come out of the house, but that doesn’t mean that there isn’t more in there, so we need to proceed with caution.”
We all nod, and I sign, “We can secure them and put them in the van that’s left, that way they’re out of the way.”
“If it’s unlocked,” Riot points out.
“Let's check,” Luc says and starts forward.
“Remember that there are cameras. We need to avoid them as much as possible,” Trick reminds us.
With that reminder ringing in our ears, we all move forward, sticking as close to the tree line and the shadows as possible. When we get level with the van, Luc moves swiftly and quietly, trying the front door to find it open, and pulling out a set of keys with a raised eyebrow. Massively stupid on their part to leave the keys in the van, but good news for us because we can lock the fuckers in now. He then moves to the back, the rest of us shadowing him as he pulls open the backdoors too, and finds the back of the van empty, except for some trash. We all share a look, that will work nicely.
Trick makes some hand gestures, and we split into two groups, Trick, Luc, and Riot moving around the back of the property while Cash and I approach the front door. The key is to take out any guys that are in the house as quickly and quietly as possible so that Boyd doesn’t realize that we’re there, and Jensen can use his unique technique in order to get the information that we need out of him.
He's our best chance at getting as much evidence as possible; he’s more likely to talk and fall prey to Jensen’s tricks than any of the others, although we are making sure that we secure them in them and calling them plan B.
As we get to the door, it opens and we’re met with two very surprised and very heavily armed men. Thankfully, we havesurprise on our side, and I move quickly, putting the guy closest to me in a sleeper hold and then dragging him back toward the van as Cash knocks the second guy out with a quick hit and follows me. We throw them in the van and then seem to realize at the same time that we have an issue.
Locking the van I give Cash the keys, and sign, “Go and check with Trick if they encountered anyone.”
