Whatever the case, she’d caught his attention enough to make him shift positions. Two fingers pulled on the collar of his button-down shirt, fingers lightly caressing his neck. Work wasn’t going to get finished easily; he was completely stiff.

Chapter Six

Leeona

One hand covered her chest, keeping her heart from beating right out of it. She slid to the floor, back against a wall.

What just happened?

It was spur-of-the-moment.

It was completely out of character.

It was totally insane.

Sure, she had a Dr. December now, but at what cost? Her body was up for grabs. Who knew what he was going to do to her? Who knew what the man’s fantasies entailed?

Teeth grated over her bottom lip, biting down harder at the edge.

Who knew what any man’s fantasies were? She certainly wasn’t an expert in that department. There was a distinct lack of experience in her portfolio.

There’d only been one guy in her life, and he wasn’t exactly the pinnacle of erotica. In fact, when they did the nasty, he was usually drunk. There was never any adventure. There was never any attempt at trying new things.

Wham. Bam. Thank you, ma’am.

It was done. It was over. He fell asleep, snoring. She’d never even climaxed—not once. Some women weren’t able to. She’d always assumed she fit into that category. Not that it mattered. Her son, Tommy, was the most important thing in her life. Miles hit the road running the moment their son was diagnosed with a possibly terminal disease.

What was she thinking?

There was no way she could go through with this. What if other people found out? What if the other moms found out? What if her son found out?

It was scandalous.

Mixed emotions made her more aware of her own self. So much was going on. It was exciting. It was thrilling. At the same time, there was a building anxiety, and of course a touch of anticipation. It certainly wasn’t in any way boring. Maybe that was what she was looking for; a way to fill a monochrome world with a bit of colour.

A light blush filled her cheeks, the warmth drawing her hands, and the gentle caress of fingers skating around in circular motions.

That smouldering gaze.

He’d mesmerized her in a way no one ever had before.

Poor choices were made over less. Miles was a prime example. She was still a virgin when they tied the knot. Their wedding night was the first time a man touched her, not that there’d been much of that. The deed was over before she knew what was happening. That was normal though. Men ejaculated quickly. Two minutes was all it took.

“Ohh!”

Her head shook, hands both planted on either side. Regardless of a stiffening posture, there was a bad case of ants in the pants to deal with.

The need to find a final doctor for the calendar was a factor, but it wasn’t the whole reason for agreeing to his terms. She wasn’t even sure what was, but in the moment he asked—she wanted to say yes—she wanted to agree to anything Dr. S. Clause desired—she wanted to be on the naughty list, and maybe even punished for it.

These sensations were all new, especially the tingling feeling between her thighs. Her body wanted something, but she wasn’t quite sure what.

“Find out,” she mumbled under her breath. “I need to know.”

Eyes veered from one side to the other, searching for anyone who might have seen her in such a state. Her thoughts, no doubt, were readable. Her body language gave everything away. She was raring to go and, given the chance, might have jumped the doctor right then and there.

“Ha!”

That was yet another first. She’d never instigated sex before. There’d never been the need—or the desire.
