“Soon, huh? Right now would be perfect,” he says.

She cocks one of those perfect blonde brows at him, steepling her fingers on the table. “And what makes you think I’d fuck you?” She takes her fork and stabs it in between his fingers resting on the table. The metal sinks into the wood.

Yeah, there’s no doubt. She’s definitely a Weaver.

Dante jolts then gives her a feral smile. He reaches over to grab a fist full of her hair while I stroke a finger down the inside of her thigh, making her shiver with desire. Her face and neck flush beautifully, tingeing that creamy skin perfectly as her pupils dilate and she sucks in a sharp breath.

“That right there, Angel. That right there.”

She gulps. “Well, that backfired.”

In the best possible way. She looks between us like she’s sizing us up. Something tells me she still hasn’t worked out that Dante and I like to share. A thrill shoots straight through me.

This will be so much fun.

We finish up our food and start to make our way back over to finish the show when my bladder hits me full force, and we’re forced to make a detour to the large concrete structure that houses the restrooms.

“I’ll meet you guys back out here in a sec!” I call over my shoulder before heading down the path to the women’s bathroom. Kaos smiles and Dante winks playfully back at me. Those two, I swear.

When I’m far enough away I blow out a breath between my teeth. I did not expect the night to go like this. I figured Ash and I would rock out to some badass music, she’d meet a guy, have a quickie in his car, and then we’d go home. I never expected these two intriguing men to hit me out of nowhere. Although, after the lake, a small part of me hoped to see them again.

Reaching the door to the bathroom, I frown in confusion. Seems there’s no one around. Strange considering the line for the women’s side is usually a mile long. Something feelsoffbut I can’t seem to put my finger on what, though my intuition is crawling with unease.

Shaking off my nerves because I really need to go, I step inside, cautiously avoiding a suspicious-looking wad of toilet paper with an eye roll. My nose crinkles as I side-eye the three empty condom wrappers on the floor. Gods, I hate my fellow humans sometimes. They’re disgusting.

Maybe I made a mistake,I think, stepping outside to double-check the sign on the door. I usually triple-check the sign before I ever step foot inside. To my surprise,Ladiesis indeed written on the sticker slapped across the grungy door. There’s so much graffiti on it I’m not sure what the original paint color is.

I debate my options for a moment, but there’s no choice. I hastily dash into the first empty stall and do that thing where you straddle the toilet and not actually touch it. You know what I mean, the public restroom squat.

Squattle?

Straddle?

Squat—Whatever. The emptiness is starting to give me the heebie-jeebies.

When I finish and wash my hands, I realize the paper towel dispenser is empty and there’s not a single hand dryer in sight. Ugh. There’s nothing worse than walking out of a bathroom with wet hands. Guess my shorts will have to do. I suck in a sharp gasp as chills suddenly explode up my spine, alerting me danger is nearby. The intensity almost brings me to my knees.

A pair of hands wrap around me from behind, and Ben’s rules pop into my head.Rule number three: Never let them get their arms around you. If you do, you’re toast.I thrust my elbow into their sternum, satisfied when I hear a grunt.

Unfortunately, their hold doesn’t ease. Even as I wriggle and writhe, straining to break free. It’s like there are two iron bars around me, trapping me against them. When my attacker speaks, shock ripples through me.

“How nice of you to join us tonight, Mercedes.”

Gods, I’m so stupid. Of course, they’re going to try something tonight. I should’ve known Kaos’s warning wouldn’t be enough.

“So unaware of what lurks around you. And such power. Where did it come from? You’ve been a non until today. Hell, you were a non a few days ago.”

Confusion ripples through me and my brow furrows. What the hell is a non? I raise my eyes to meet his through the mirror, staring unflinchingly into his black bottomless eyes. Which confirms what I already know.

This isn’t a random attacker. Nor is it a random attack.

“Now, you’re going to be a good little thing for us, aren’t you?” he asks, voice dripping with cocky arrogance.

Absolutely fucking not.
