“I… I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Uh-huh. Sure Dinky.”

I gave him a shove. “Fuck off,Hamball.”

“Oh no. You’re not getting away with that.”

I yelped as he reached up, grabbing me around the middle, and pulled me off the floor. In a flash I was on top of him, cum smearing between our bodies as he fought to hold me in place. I squirmed and flailed, trying to get away from him, all the while cackling like a hyena. We wrested for a moment, rolling across the floor like a couple of teenage pups. There was a sort of unbridled joy that slipped out of me in that moment, one I didn’t know I could still experience. And when we finally rolled to a stop, my hands pinned over my head with Heimdall’s weight pressing down on me, I couldn’t help but smile.

“You’re beautiful when you smile,” he said softly, looking down at me.

I blushed and tried to deflect. I wasn’t used to compliments. “Well, you’re beautiful all the time.”

“Are you flirting with me, Dinky?”

I grinned. “If it gets me another handjob, yes.”

“Is that all I am to you, a warm hand?”

I shook my head. “Of course not! You’re a warm mouth too.”

We both laughed as he leaned down close, pushing his tongue into my mouth as he kissed me. I let him take whatever he wanted, happy just to feel his heart beating against mine and his skin pressing against me. This was all I wanted now, all Icould think about. It was beautiful and exciting and terrifying all at the same time. I wouldn’t have traded it for anything.

“Can we eat more now,” Heimdall asked, pulling away from me at last.

“Christ, I thought you’d never ask.”

With one last kiss, Heimdall crawled off of me and pulled me up to sit between his legs. Ignoring the cum quickly drying in our body hair, he pulled the wool blanket around us once more. We both grabbed our abandoned takeout containers and began to eat, my back resting against his chest. Every once in a while, I’d look up at him and just smile for no reason other than a strange sense of belonging I felt with him. He seemed to feel it just the same, kissing my neck each time before he went back to his fries.

For this moment we were safe in our own little world. And that was enough. We both knew it wasn’t going to last forever, but that didn’t matter. Not right now. Whether it was hours, days, or even a week, this time belonged to us.

And we were going to enjoy every last second of it.

Chapter Twenty-One: Heimdall

“Are you sure we won’t get caught?” I asked as we trudged up the backside of the mountain. “Aren’t there patrols and stuff?”

“They won’t catch us,” Loki replied, assuring me for the tenth time that everything would be alright. “There are a couple of hot springs not on resort land. It’s technically in pack territory, but we don’t patrol it. The terrain is too rough.”

“Are you sure it won’t be too rough for us?”

“Nah,” he grinned. “We survived a cave for three days. This’ll be a piece of cake.”

He was only half right. The ‘rough terrain’ that he spoke of turned out to be a sheer rock cliff. Granted, it was only about twenty-five feet tall, but scaling it meantliterallyclimbing straight up. Loki, without hesitation, scrambled his way to the top like he’d done it a thousand times before. I, on the other hand, had to take a bit more time. The food we’d stolen had helped me regain some of my strength, but I was still sore from breaking out of the cave. Not to mention, we’d only gotten acouple hours of sleep before Loki had me up again. He said we had to go before the sun rose so nobody saw us.

“Come on!” he called from the rocky ledge above. “Don’t be a scaredy cat, Hamball!”

Taking a deep breath, I steadied myself and began to climb. To my surprise, it wasn’t too hard going. The path that Loki had taken was full of easy holds for both hands and feet. It only took a couple of minutes before I climbed over the top of the ledge and stood at Loki’s side. I wasn’t even out of breath.

“Wow,” I gasped, looking out over the mountain as it fell away in front of us. Trees swooped down into the valley and the streetlights of Fenris glowed in the center. Gentle snow drifted down, catching the light and reflecting it in a thousand different directions. It took my breath away. “What a view.”

“It’s pretty nice,” Loki nodded, his arm snaked around my waist. “My dad used to bring us up here as pups. It was our own private little swimming hole away from the guests. We could rough house around up here, shift, run around like crazy, and just be energetic mischievous boys. He always got a kick out of it.”

“Do you still come up here with your brothers?”

“No. Not anymore.”

“Why not?”
