“How soon do we get to leave,” Sheridan asked.
“The mining crew arrives tomorrow,” Cade said. “We’ve officially finished, sent our last report, and cleaned up the hold.”
“I’ve had three offers about buying this ship,” Sheridan said.
“Any of them look good,” Cade asked.
“One or two,” Sheridan said. “We could subcontract it out.”
“Like take on employees,” Cade asked.
“One of your cousins asked about it,” Sheridan said.
“Which one,” Cade asked.
“Lipt,” Sheridan said.
“She’s just found a mate,” Cade said.
“They don’t have the money to buy the ship outright,” Sheridan said.
“You like the idea of keeping it in the family,” Cade said.
“Your family,” Sheridan said. “Would you mind?”
“Are you handling them,” Cade said.
“Yes, which means while we’re on our year off, I have to be in touch with them,” she said.
“It won’t take long,” Cade said. “It won’t bother me if you take care of it.”
“Are you pushing this on me,” Sheridan said.
“You’re the one with the business degree,” he said. “I’m a prospector.”
“I’ll start negotiations,” Sheridan said. “Cade.”
“Oh, baby, I know this tone,” he said picking her up. She wrapped her legs around him.
“Make me forget my name,” she asked.
“With pleasure,” he said before capturing her lips.

Sheridan walked around the new ship. It was big, bigger than she expected. “Both of you have the pilot’s license you need for this size ship,” Calli said. “You’ll have no problems flying it. It has the latest navigation, sensors, as you requested.”
Cade watched her as she looked at the kitchen. Walking up behind her, he murmured, “There’s more space for me to chase you.”
She smiled, looked over her shoulder at him. “Maybe I’ll get away,” she said.
“You don’t want to get away,” Cade said. “Can you make me your fruit crispy things on this?”
“Yes, and more,” Sheridan said. “You upgraded the upgrades.”
“Calli got a great deal on the latest,” Cade said.
“I love it,” she said turning in his arms. “You spoiled me.”
