Kenzie reached for him. “Where are you going?”

“To the bank.” He pulled the tracking device from his pocket. “To get rid of this.”

“What if it’s not waterproof? The signal will stop, and they’ll come to my car.”

“The feds don’t mess around with their equipment. This baby isn’t what average folks can buy on the market. That’s sissy stuff. I’d wager this thing will hold up in the creek or anywhere else that’s wet.”
