CHAPTER 12

RYAN

There was nevera thought in my mind that I could be so happy, yet, here I was. Emotions filled every brain cell. Flint’s hand on mine brought my skin to life. We had so many things to discover about each other, with each other.

I had no idea how experienced he was when it came to intimate things, but I knew doing them with me would be a new adventure.

When we arrived at my apartment, I invited Flint in. “Cold beer is in the fridge if you want one. I’ll have one for courage before we go.” I actually wanted the courage now so I could kiss him.

The clothes for me to perform in were hanging in a plastic bag, which I had hung on the back of my bedroom door. Flint knocked on my bedroom door and I waved him in while I was setting up the makeup table. I’d get dressed at home to save time.

Flint fingered the clothes I’d be wearing and chuckled. “I’ve never been with a woman.”

“Honey, no matter what I wear, you’ll still never be with a woman.” I winked and felt the lump in my throat as he stretched out on my bed.

I had on my corset, garter belt, fishnet stockings, heels and was fluffing my wig. I’d put on my makeup right before my wig. Flint could help me slip into my dress, and later, he could help me slip out of it. Wishful thinking at the least, but someday.

His eyes were closed and almost a snore was emitting from his throat. I licked his bottom lip and he froze. When I licked his top lip, his mouth opened and I explored his tongue. He tasted of sour candy.

Flint was chuckling so hard, he had to break the kiss and sit up.

“How do you like your sour surprise?” I tossed my pillow at him.

“Shall we give this a go, Flint?”

“We shall if you seal it with a sour candy kiss.”

He didn’t need to tell me twice. I went into the kitchen and grabbed the sour candy. Sour kisses on the way.

CHAPTER 13

RENE

I kept lookingout the curtain and asking if anyone had seen my brother. It was going to be awkward if I had to perform this solo alone.

I heard the music start just as Ryan stepped behind the curtain. I pushed on my mustache to try to get the glue to stick. We stepped out as the curtain parted, and belted out our best rendition of, I Got You, Babe.

We got a standing ovation. Ryan was a great Cher, while I with my fluffy ‘stache was a hit.

Our next song to close our act, was Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves, which Ryan had performed before.

At close, Bear picked Cher Ryan off the stage and left me alone. They were waving as they left the building.

“Cher has left the building folks.”

“Yes. But she left the main man behind.”

“Lucille Ball, you know I’m a sucker for redheads.”

“Too bad. I’m actually bald. Let’s get changed and see what pops up.”

“I’ve got you, babe….
