Page 119 of Stolen Moments

I had never abused my hacking skills or our program before. I’ve worked hard at protecting people’s identities, not looking up their information.

The doorbell rings before the door opens. Jace’s voice travels through the house announcing his arrival.

Fuck.

I don’t know how to look at Rylann in the face. She knew instantly what happened in the bathroom when Emery raced out of the bar. I’ve been avoiding my sister-in-law ever since. I could see the disappointment in her eyes.

I take a deep breath and force myself to remember that Emery lied to me. She had a fiancé the entire time we were together. Probably still does.

Right?

I groan in defeat. My excuses are getting weaker with each passing day. The anger I felt then has dwindled. If she had a fiancé, why did she let me fuck her in the bathroom?

That fucking bathroom. The memory of her quiet moans as I stuffed her full of my cock has the greedy bastard jumping in my slacks. The smell of her sweet pear scent still clings to my nose. I should have a carpal tunnel with the number of times I’ve jacked off to visions of her in the shower over the last couple of months. Because, of course, my dick only works with visions of her. Her pouty lips, the rasp in her voice as she says my name while she comes on my cock.

Fucking shit.

I throw my head back against the couch and breathe, willing my half-chub to die down.

“Uncle Mills!” Rhys screams right before landing on my chest. He jumps, and his little knee lands right on my balls.

“Oof.” That will do it. Mister Hard Dick is completely gone, and just like I predicted, there’s that kick in the balls I’ve been waiting for. “H-hey, buddy.”

“I missed you so much.” His little arms wrap around my neck as he squeezes.

“Me too. But I promise, next month I don’t have work, so I will come visit, okay?”

“Promise?”

“Promise.”

“Good, because I have that lame Christmas show again. Will you be there to see me sing again?”

“Wouldn’t miss it.”

“Yay!” Rhys jumps off my lap and tears out of my parents’ living room as Jace and Rylann enter.

My parents are hosting Thanksgiving this year, seeing as Jace and Rylann will be getting married on New Year’s Eve and will be hosting Christmas.

I haven’t even let my mind drift to their wedding. My brothers were right—I didn’t think about Emery being there, which is dumb on my part. She was at the bachelorette party, and she works with Rylann and Scarlett. Of course, she will be at the wedding.

I stand from the couch, thankful Rhys didn’t do any permanent damage, and give my brother a hug and slap on the back.

“Jace, good to see you.” I check my watch and see that it’s almost time for dinner, and I’ve been sitting in the living room alone for over an hour.

Cameron’s and Eli’s voices carry from the kitchen as they joke around with Rhys and my dad in the dining room.

“Back at you, brother. It’s been too long.” He steps back, and my eyes fall to Rylann.

She has so much personality I forget how short she is. My five-month-old niece, Riah, sits on Rylann’s hip, looking like a spitting image of her mother.

“Ry, how are you?”

Her lips form a line for a fraction of a second before she puts on a smile. See? Disappointed.

“I’m great, thank you for asking, Mason. You?”

Mason. Ouch.
