“You’re perfect. That man is going to be hard all night long. You better make sure he doesn’t get blue balls.”

“Can I see now?”

“Yes.”

I turn around and take in my appearance in the mirror. My hair is up in a high pony on top of my head. A fake hair piece that matches the color of my hair is covering the rubber band holding it up. I have on a bright pink silk halter top. It fastens at the neck with several strands of crystals like a collar around my throat. The neckline ends in a deep drape that shows off my cleavage. I’m wearing a short pink skirt with a matching crystal belt. My strappy heel sandals are also decorated with crystals. Two strips of crystals run around my ankles and across the tops of my feet.

Silver waterfall earrings cascade from my ears, falling just short of my shoulders. My eyes are smokey, I have deep, dusky pink lips.

“I look freaking amazing!”

“You always look freaking amazing.”

I hug my best friend and give him a kiss on the cheek.

“Now go downstairs and meet your man.”

I grab my clutch and head downstairs. What I see takes my breath away. My man is in a charcoal gray three-piece suit. He’s wearing a deep burgundy shirt and gray paisley print tie.

He opens his arms and I walk into them. He wraps me up and gives me a deep kiss. God, he smells so good.

“You smell good.”

“So do you, Nightingale. You smell good enough to eat. Which I plan to do later.”

I shiver in anticipation. I’ve been wet all day thinking about him taking my ass. My man is not small. I’m a little nervous it’s going to hurt, but Nay told me what to expect.

“Are you ready, love?”

“I am. I’m starving. We missed lunch.”

“Do you want to skip the wheel and head straight to the steakhouse?”

“No, I’ll live.”

Wrath takes my hand, and we walk from the cabin. There’s a white stretch limo waiting for us at the bottom of the boardwalk.

“Baby, you didn’t have to get a limo.”

He chuckles. “My woman deserves the best. I spoke with Blue today about ordering your cut. It should be ready by the time we get home.”

The driver opens the door and Wrath helps me inside before settling next to me. After telling the driver where we’re going, he pulls me onto his lap.

“Have I mentioned I’m the luckiest man on the planet?”

I shook my head. “Not in the last hour.”

He grins and playfully swats the side of my hip. “Brat.”

“I’m your brat.”

His grin widens and he gets this look on my face that melts me into a puddle. “Yes, you are.”

Chapter 24

Millie

Our ride doesn’t take long. We walk hand in hand to the Wheel. Wrath made reservations for this time to make sure we’d be in the air at sunset. This wheel had cars rather than seats, like a carnival ride. It’s set up like the Eye in London.
