CHAPTER 17
Kyler
As soon as I walk through her front door another text dings in.
Presley:Tag, you’re it ;)
The smile splits my face. I drop my bag down and begin my search. Hoping I’ll find her in bed, but she isn’t there. She’s not in her bathroom either. Or the kitchen, or anywhere in the house. Finally, it hits me. I grab what I need from my bag and tuck it in the back of my pants. Then I climb the old wooden stairs up to the place we used to escape to when we were kids.
When I get to the top, I find my girl sprawled out on a blanket, every sexy inch of her on full display. Her legs are spread wide and she’s already playing with her clit, her other hand pinching her nipple between two fingers. My cock spikes with jealousy, mad that she started the fun without me. I crawl forward, forcing her hand away as I bury my face between her legs. Her body belongs to me, and I’m starved for her orgasm.
The taste of her hits my tongue and a roar tears from my chest. I feel like a wolf capturing his prey under the glow of the moon. She thrusts her hips up at my wild attack and I pin her down, feasting on her slick cunt. Plowing my tongue right into her tight body. I grip her swollen lips and hold them open while I fuck her pretty pussy. When she starts to close in on her orgasm, I pull out and slide my flattened tongue back up through her folds. I suction her clit, and she goes off like a rocket, bucking against me as I hold on tight, trying to draw out the very last shock.
“All better, little bird?”
I slide up her stomach and hover over top. Her eyes flutter open and the prettiest smile forms on her cheeks.
“Much.” She leans up and presses her mouth to mine. “Guess I’m it now.”
I chuckle and kiss her deeper before I let her go. “Guess so. But I want to give you your graduation present first.” I pull out the comic from the back of my pants, and hand it to her.
“What’s this?” she asks, sitting up and studying the cover. “My Brave Girl.”
“Don’t you remember how we used to read comics all the time?”
“I do.” She looks up. “You made this for me?”
I nod. “Why don’t you open it and read it to me, babe?”
“Okay.” She opens it to the first page. The moment she sees what’s inside, the tears fill her eyes.
“Read it out loud, baby.”
“There once was a girl,” she starts, her voice full of emotion. “She was no ordinary girl. She was an extraordinary girl. She was a brave girl with magical superpowers and her name was Presley Jane.” A tear slips down her cheek, and I wipe it away. “Presley’s powers came in all forms. She had the power to make people laugh and feel better about themselves. She had thepower to make the weak feel strong. She had the power to take out the super villain and save the innocent from evil attacks. And she also had the power to make people who felt small about themselves feel like they were invincible giants. But her greatest superpower of all was her heart. She had the power to give love that could melt an entire universe. That love is what saved a boy’s life. A boy who will forever be grateful and cherish the love she gave him. And now, that boy wants to give her a gift to show her how much she means to him.”
She turns the last page and comes to the end. Her eyes look up, tears now freely falling down her cheeks, and I pull the ring from my pocket, shifting in front of my angel.
“Presley Jane, our story together is just beginning. Our comic doesn’t have an ending and never will. Our love is too powerful for any villain in the universe to destroy us. I know we’re young and one day when we’re older I plan on doing this right, but for now, I’m asking that you’ll take this ring as a promise. A promise that one day I’ll be making you my wife. And a promise that you will forever own my heart. I love you, babe. You’re my superhero. So, please. Say you’ll be mine.”
She falls forward. The salt from her tears hitting my tongue as she pours her love into me. Giving me her heart. And taking my soul.
“Yes, Kyler Scott. I’ll always be yours.”
I place the ring on her finger. And then I look up at the night sky, thanking the heavens and the stars for bringing her back to me. This is it. From this point forward, it’s me and my brave girl against the universe.
EPILOGUE
Presley
5 Years Later
“No, Presley! You’re not supposed to see the groom the night before your wedding day,” Ruby tsks and drags me back into our hotel room. Dammit. I’m so horny, I’m not even going to be able to walk down the aisle in a straight line tomorrow.
“Sophie.” I turn to my other best friend, batting my eyes, hoping she’ll take pity on me. Kyler sent me a picture of his hard dick and now I’m starving for a taste.
“No, Presley.” Soph shakes her head. “You guys can go one day without fucking. And if I can do it, so can you.”
Ugh…all three of us are suffering through this evening. Why? Because it’s “tradition” and someone at some point in time came up with some stupid theory that seeing the groom brings bad luck to a marriage. With Kyler, that’s not even possible. Nothing can take us down.
