“Yeah. I just got into a little fight. I handled it.”

I let go of his hand and walked into the home. The familiars looked between us and then to the car.

“William will no longer be with us,” I informed them as I walked by.

The familiar smell of disinfectant and cleaning supplies stung my nostrils. Perhaps I had been out around other smells too long. I never noticed how bad it was until now. Why did William train them this way? What was he hiding?

Taking the stairs, I made my way up the steps and toward my bedchambers. I could hear Jordan speaking to the familiars in low tones.

“Yes, sir.”

“We’ll be moving some guards to the estate. Make sure you inform me about the completion of the change.”

“Yes, sir. Is there anything else you need from me?”

I could feel Jordan’s stare at my back, but I kept walking, shaking my ass for his satisfaction.

“Clean out all of my brother’s stuff and burn it.”

The moon’s light glowed through the upstairs window, casting the mansion into an eerie darkness. There were small gargoyle statues on the backside of the home. Their shadows stretched on the walls, simulating monsters lurking inside the house.

Maybe they did. They just came in high heeled boots and fishnets.

I got out of my clothes and shucked them into a corner the moment I made it to my room. Rummaging through the closet, I took out a soft billowy dress with slits up the thighs and laid it out on the bed.

The servants kept my room clean and tidy while I was away. I looked over my shoulder to find my dead bird gone and it annoyed me. Walking into the adjacent bathroom, I turned on the water to fill my large two person tub.

I still smelled faintly like Logan and it pissed me off. Turning off the water, I stepped up and over the rim, sighing as I laid myself under the cool liquid. Rubbing my skin and scalp, I closed my eyes and let my mind drift away.

My hands roamed my torso and squeezed my breasts as I thought of how I was going to dispose of Mathias and my mother.

“I’d kill them all for you…”

Water splashes out of the tub as I twist around to find no one in the room with me. I narrow my eyes and look around again.

Rough fingers graze my cheek and I inhale sharply, slowly turning to look over my shoulder.

Nothing.

“Who's there?”

Like the stupid girl I was, I waited for an answer I knew wasn’t going to come. This creepy shit was making my pussy weep with anticipation. What was wrong with me?

Quickly finishing my bath, I stood up, letting the water slosh off my body as I slowly stepped out. Grabbing a towel, I dried myself off and changed into my dress sans panties. I wore them all day and I was tired of their constriction.

Sliding my body down onto the bed, I rolled onto my side, grabbed a pillow, and closed my eyes. Vampires didn’t need to sleep, but the day's events drained me. Especially that prick, Logan.

I didn’t know I’d drifted off to a light slumber until a hot body pulled my back against him.

“You smell delicious.”

“Mmm. Jordan. What are you doing here?”

He rolled me over onto my back and planted chaste kisses down my neck. “Have you forgotten? I run the Cromwell estates now. The grounds are being guarded by my soldiers and a new blood farm is being created on the land as we speak. You were out for a while.”

I guess I was for him to have done all that.

I pulled down the front of my dress and pushed his head toward my breast, wanting him to suck. He did as commanded and played with my other breast, pinching my nipples.
