“What’s that?” Sunny’s brows furrow as she plucks a strand of straw from her hair and discards it to the floor.

Buck walks towards us and gives us a nod just aswild love - james baybegins to play and we watch as everyone stands.

Austin stands at the top of the aisle, Aspen and Riggs asked him to officiate the wedding. With Riggs and Pacey by his side, I give Dixie one last kiss.

“Fuck, I can't wait to marry you,” my heart flutters in my chest.

She gets all teary and I tilt my head.

“This will be us soon,” I whisper as I drag her hand to my lips and kiss her ring finger where a thin gold band sits with a heart diamond.

“I can't wait, just family as we marry under the blossom tree by the creek.”

“I love you,” I smile as she leans in and kisses Lainey on the top of her head.

Sunny sneaks up behind us and passes Dixie her wildflower bouquet. Moving quietly down the side of the seats, I manage to escape being watched as everyone waits with bated breath to see the bride. My mom steps up and takes Lainey from me and I give her a kiss on her cheek. She is all red eyed and I know she has been crying. My eyes glare to the two empty chairs that have feathered angel wings tied to the back.

One for Harlow. One for my Dad.

“You ready big man?” I ask Riggs as I take my place next to him, pulling on my black dickie bow.

“So fucking ready,” he smiles, “I have been waiting ten years for this moment.”

“Worth the wait then,” I chuckle, my eyes landing on Dixie as she begins her slow walk down, and just in that moment, everything around me blurs.

“Yeah.” Riggs rasps, pulling me back into the room as Dixie takes her place across from us all.

“Just need to find you a woman now, Pace,” I give him a boyish grin as I look at him over his shoulder.

“I'm enjoying it just being me at the moment,” he nods, as Sunny takes her spot next to Dixie and I catch Conrad's gaze, a wink passing between the both of us.

And then there was Aspen.

“Jesus Christ,” Riggs rasps and I hear the crack in his voice.

“Damn she looks...” I trail off.

“Fucking beautiful,” Pacey finishes my sentence.

“Yeah, she does,” Austin chimes in and me and Pacey give him a soft smile.

She's wearing an ivory gown, flowy from the hips, little laced sleeves and her golden blonde hair down in soft waves with a flowered braid and suddenly I see us all as teens again. When I look at the empty seats, I see Harlow smiling, tears rolling down her cheeks and my dad, who looks like the proudest man ever. I give a sad smile along with a knowing nod as a tear escapes and with one blink, they're gone, and I am back and about to witness one of my best friends and my brotherfinallyget their happily ever after.

“Dearly beloved…” Austin speaks loudly and my eyes skate to where Dixie is, and that’s when realization settles, she’s always been my wildest dream, and I finally got her.

No more dreaming.

No more wishing.

She is mine.

PACEY

We incorporated the wedding with the cow branding. Call us crazy, but us Rivera's like to be different.

We branded the calves in the morning, lunched, danced and then just as the sun was about to set, we watched Aspen and Riggs get married.

The soft country voice of Dixie rolls over the field, her fingers working her guitar as she sings Riggs and Aspen's first dance song,Invisible String - Taylor Swift.
