“Victor,” he warned, obviously knowing that his brother was scaring me.

I wondered if they were doing that thing again, just communicating with a look, because the next thing I knew, Victor was leaning forward and holding out the glass for me.

“Here, drink, baby,” he said gently, sounding like his brother and making me instantly relax at the tenderness in his voice.

I did as he asked, feeling myself calm enough to keep it down. But, this was where the shame hit me and it did so with the strength of a fucking truck.

“Please… please let me leave. I am so embarrassed,” I confessed, making Victor scoff while Talon told me,

“You are going nowhere.”

A few seconds after this, I was being taken in Talon’s arms as he picked me up, making my dizzy head fall back against his arm.

“I thought I was going nowhere?” I asked with my eyes closed, because it was the only way to stop the world from spinning.

“Ssshh, little drunk girl,” Talon hushed down at me, and I opened my eyes when I heard a door close, surprised to find myself in a bathroom. And not the type I would have expected to find in a nightclub.

There were no cubicles apart from one. A hexagon of glass that surrounded the large shower head above and became the whole focal point of the room. It was so unusual in its design and shape, that it looked more like something you would find in an art gallery. Like a glass cage sectioned by its black metal lines.

Double sinks sat along the wall facing the shower and were set into the gray marble vanity. A toilet was set back behind another wall, but the shower was the main feature in the room.

Talon set me down on the counter in between the sinks, with a wall of mirrors at my back. Mirrors I was glad I couldn’t seein to because I dreaded what I looked like. I could feel tears still clinging to my skin from my sickness, making me wonder if my mascara was running down my face, as well as the lipstick I could feel smudged at the corners. This was confirmed when Talon stepped in front of me and used his thumbs to wipe under my eyes, tipping my face up as he cupped my cheeks.

“Not gonna lie, Sweetheart, but you’re a mess.”

I winced and tried to turn my face away in shame. But he wouldn’t allow this, instead dipping his face closer to mine and with a grin firmly set, he told me,

“But you’re our lovely mess.”

“Damn right,” Victor agreed, following us inside with a packet of something in his hand, as well as the water.

“One of the bar staff found these,” Victor told his brother, handing him what looked like a packet of face wipes.

Talon didn’t say anything, but he pulled one free and came to my face, making me pull back long enough to say,

“I can do it.”

“You can but you won’t,” he warned, and his easy-going tone had been replaced by a stern order. One I couldn’t deny, especially when he gripped my chin and used his hold on me to keep my face still.

“Close your eyes,” he told me, now using a fresh wipe over my eyes. The white cloth came away black and patchy. Next was my lips, which again received a new wipe as well as something extra from Victor.

“You allergic to mint?” he asked.

I shook my head and told him, “It just makes me sneeze.”

One side of his lips lifted at this, and it was a smirk that remained when he said, “Then open up.”

Again, I did so without thinking and he popped something in my mouth, once more causing me wonder why I was so damn trusting of these two… so trusting that I seemed to do everythingthey ask me to. Okay, so it wasn’t like he had just slipped me a drug or anything, and I was relieved to discover it was like he said…a mint.I definitely needed it to rid myself the taste of vomit from my mouth, but nothing could rid me of the knowing tickle I felt rising in my nose.

“Achoo!” I sneezed, just like I said I would, causing Talon to chuckle as Victor ran the backs of his fingers down my cheek and said,

“Too fucking cute.”

Again, I blushed, something they could see with ease now I was free of all my makeup and Talon finished cleaning my face.

“Ah there she is, our pretty girl,” he stated.

“She is indeed, now drink,” Talon said, holding out the glass to me once more. I did as I was told and I had to admit, that despite how mortifying being sick in front of them was, I had never in my life felt so cared for.
