Katie took a big breath inwards and let it happen.

She fell backwards.

As she fell, everything seemed to move in slow motion.

Her mind was at once both totally clear and also full of memories. Her life had changed so much since she met Cage. Sure, it had happened in a bad moment in Katie’s life, but that wasn’t important any longer.

Katie was happy now.

She was a Little with her Forever Daddy.

Katie was more confident, focused, and had a great new career building. She was creative every day. She had voiceover work offers filling up her inbox.

In fact, things had been going so well with the voice acting that Katie had even been approached by a talent agent who was well known in the industry for working with Littles and giving them a safe and specialized environment to succeed in.

Katie knew she was lucky.

Everything had fallen perfectly into place.

Speaking of falling…

‘Hey, you did it!’ Cage said, gently catching Katie in his arms before bringing her in for a big cuddle. ‘That’s another goal you can put down as well and truly completed.’

Katie had learned to trust again.

She’d learned how to love.

And found the perfect Daddy to do it with.

Katie and Cage kissed.

It was the perfect moment, one that Katie would never, ever forget.

Chapter 22

Cage

Cage was full of pride to see Katie finally get over her fear and complete the falling backwards task.

It felt like one final step had been completed.

Cage couldn’t believe how far the pair of them had come. Both as individuals and as a couple.

They were now a Daddy and Little.

A team.

Theperfectcombination.

Cage would sometimes look back on his life and wonder if all of the pain he had suffered via the death of his former partner and the years that followed was somehow part of a larger plan.

One that was always going to lead him to Katie.

Cage wasn’t much of a philosopher in truth.

But as he thought back to the very first time he caught sight of Katie at the police station, he couldn’t deny that it felt like a higher power was working to bring them together.

Cage had never seen anyone cuter.
