Kaku sa did… that Madan… he… he was touching me here… and I couldn’t bear that disgusting man’s touch, I had to lie, I was alone… I was alone, and I had only myself to help save my dignity… you just believed in my words… you failed to know your Ishu…”, she said, those torturing memories haunted her, and she cried…

Ranveer felt guilty, he didn’t know what came into him, that he let her words get into her… and when he realized his fault, it was too late, the marriage was done, but still he wanted to check on his sister, then happened Vikram’s kidnapping.

“You don’t have the right to talk about my marriage, because it’s you who pushed me into it”, she said and Ranveer fumed, yes, he failed to protect her, but he didn’t push her…

“I didn’t push you, my a** of a father made you agree to it, with his dirty tricks…”, Ranveer said… “you could have called me, one call and I would do anything to save you Ishu… one call Ishu… it’s your fault too”, Ranveer said anger filling his veins…

“You are right… I should have called… I should have called, it’s my fault right, then let me face the consequences of this fault too… stop meddling with my marriage”, Isha shouted…

“ISHU…”, Ranveer shouted at her at her rebellious attitude…

“She called”, Vikram finally said it, the truth that’s eating him up for more than 1 and half years…

He said so slowly that Ranveer and Isha didn’t hear it for the first time as their anger clouded their senses… but they heard it for the second time…

“She called”, he said this time loudly… Isha’s eyes turned from anger to compassion, she never wanted Vikram to say this truth… she already forgave him for it…

“Vikram…”, she said holding his forearm… “it’s okay”, she said softly

“Let him complete Ishu”, Ranveer deadpanned, looking at his best friend… looks like he had hid more than one matter from him…

Isha sighed; she never wanted this truth to come out… especially like this…

“The night before her wedding, she called your phone… you were so upset, furious and didn’t even want to talk about Isha, you were drinking, so I accepted your call… it… it’s Isha from an unknown number…”, Vikram started remembering that unfateful night…

“Vikram… please give the phone to bhai… I don’t have much time”, Isha cried into the phone…

“No Isha… you know what was his condition from the past few days ?? He was worried sick for you and you didn’t care for him, now why did you call ??”, he asked

“Vikram… I don’t want this marriage, please tell bhai to help me…please… Kaku sa forced me… please Vikram…”, she begged and the line went dead…

“There was no time for you… the wedding was the next evening… so…”, Vikram started but Ranveer held his collar with maddening rage…

“That was my call, you snatched the right to save my sister from me… I could have at least tried, if I started immediately, I could have reached there by next morning you b**t**d… I could have saved her… why did you do this to me ?? I trusted you, you destroyed my sister’s life who you call your sister as well ??”, Ranveer punched Vikram, Isha tried to stop him but he is nowhere near to stopping.

“You could have reached there before the marriage but making an escape plan was very difficult, it could have costed you your life too Ran, so, I chose to keep it to myself, I’m sorry”, Vikram said

“Sorry my a**, get out I don’t want to see your face right now”, Ranveer said and Vikram slowly walked away…

Isha sighed at the happenings with tears in her eyes…

“Wait Vikram, don’t go, go and take rest in your room instead”, she said

“Ishu…”, Ranveer started

"This house is mine as much as it's yours, and I want Vikram to stay here and take rest...", she said sternly and Ranveer didn't say a word after that, he needs time to settle to the newly found information, all these days, he thought his sister didn't attempt to reach him, he didn't do it vocally but he did blame her for the fate she was suffering within his heart but now after knowing the truth, he was shattered. Yes, his sister was still at fault, she didn't contact him before, but how would she, when his a**h*le of a father spied on her always... when she finally dared to do it, his best friend messed up, it's not Vikram's fault, it's his for not staying alert, or wait for his sister's call, or for not going to save her despite what she said to him... thought he.

CHAPTER – 10

That night was the toughest night to pass on for Ranveer, the weight of the truth that unveiled a few hours before was too huge for him to bear, he couldn't bear the thought that what if he had known about his sister's call that night ?? He might be or might not be able to rescue her but he could have tried, he wouldn't have regretted even giving away his life in the process of saving his sister but he didn't know, the choice that was his, was brutally snatched away by his best friend, but could he blame him completely ?? Isha's words have caused him so much hurt that he even hated talking about her... he let her words affect him so much that he forgot to think rationally, he not for once thought why would his kind and innocent sister would suddenly speak in a language that's so unfamiliar to her, in a tone that's so not her...

He left his sister to marry a BEAST, even if she really took that decision, for her freedom, it's his responsibility to save her, to stop her from destroying her life, she wouldn't have known what kind of a BEAST her to-be husband was, but he very well knew, didn't he? Then how the hell did he let his ego ruin his sister's life, he always believed that though his bhabhosa andbhabho(Paternal uncle and Aunt (Isha's Parents)) weren't alive to look after Isha, he gave her the love and affection like them, brought her up like them but he was so wrong, if his bhabhosa was in his place, would he leave his daughter like he did ?? Though hurt by her words, he would have tried till his last breath to save his daughter, then why did he leave his sister like that ??

This guilt was always there in Ranveer, but after knowing the truth, regrets flooded over his soul... how could he face his sister now ?? All these days, whenever he accused her of not calling him or asking him for help, she bore all his accusations silently without uttering a single word, he thought she was silent because she was guilty, but she was actually calm because she wanted to protect his friend and his friendship which he cherishes so much next to his relationship with his sister...

How could he not understand his sister ?? How the hell did he think that a person like her could speak those rude words to him ?? Why did he believe in them ?? Someone said right, if your time is bad, you would do all the unexpected things that will become your biggest regrets for life...
