My skirt was hiked up further, the feel of the cool air around us teasing my exposed, wet pussy.“I want to hear you scream my name, baby,” he rasped as he began kissing his way down the middle of my chest.
“Genevieve!”The sound of my name being called cut through the pleasure-filled haze clouding my mind.
“Wha—”
“Fuck,” Nero growled as he slipped his finger from me, and straightened up while I fixed my skirt and slipped from the stool.
My cheeks began growing warm. Grateful for the cloak of darkness surrounding us to hide my embarrassment, I called back to Maya,“I’m over here.”
Maya appeared at the end of the hallway, Jules appearing next to her. Spotting Nero they hesitated before making their way to us.“I hope we’re not disturbing anything.”
Looking up at Nero, I was surprised at how quickly he’d recovered, a smile spreading across his lips.“No, not at all.” He looked down at me and winked.“We were just getting to know each other.” Despite his cool demeanor, the feel of his erection against my hip told me he wasn’t quite as composed as he let on.
Oh God…I wished the floor would open up and swallow me whole. If Maya and Jules hadn’t shown up then god only knows what I’d have done with him. In the back of a club. With a stranger.
What the hell had I been thinking?
The haze that had been dominating my mind just moments ago was gone leaving me clear-headed once more. Strange. If he could have that kind of effect on me, maybe it was time for me to get laid and get it out of my system? I was twenty-one, only freaks were still virgins at my age.
Okay, well maybe freak is a little harsh of a term, but it was certainly outside of the norm.
“We were thinking about getting out of here,” Jules stated.
The fear I’d been feeling around him until the moment he’d touched me took hold again, and I scampered out of arm’s reach from him.“I should head out as well. It was nice meeting you,Nero.”
He chuckled and nodded as he started buttoning his shirt back up.
Reaching out to me, he lightly ran the back of his hand across my cheek. My breath hitched as I felt the fog threaten to take over again.“I’llbe seeing you around.” His gaze caught mine a moment before he dropped his hand, turned, and exited through the door a few feet from him and into the night.
Once the emergency exit door closed behind him, my two friends were on me like piranhas on a piece of meat.“You and Mr.Tall, Dark, and Mysterious from class!” Jules’ eyes widened in shock.“I thought he gave you the ick.”
Suddenly, I felt defensive. I’m not sure if it was him I wanted to defend, or myself for being caught in a compromising position with a virtual stranger.
“No, he never gave me the ick. Jeez, Jules. I just felt unsettled around him.” Running a hand through my shoulder-length, dark locks, I shrugged.“I don’t know. One minute I was dancing with you two and the next I was here, and he was about to…”
The girls shared a grin before Jules spoke.“Were you going to fuck him? Right here?”
“No. No. Nonono.” I waved off that absurd thought. At least I didn’t think so.“Things just got a little out of hand. I’m not sure what came over me.”
“It’s cool. I mean, if I had a shot at him, I’d go for it. Ididn’t realize how ripped he was. Dude was halfway undressed.”
Groaning out loud, I smoothed out the front of my dress.“We got caught up in the moment. It was a spur-of-the-moment thing. I doubt he’lleven acknowledge my existence after this. I was just some fun for the night.”
Despite my words, I knew it wasn’t the truth. I felt a pull to him that transcended normal attraction. Icouldn’t explain it. It made zero sense to me. And what was with the tattoo on his chest? What was that about? Icouldn’t put my finger on it, but something was off. Our classmate had me intrigued, and I knew Iwouldn’t be able to shake him from my mind until I got to the bottom of it.
Chapter 3
Genevieve
The weekend had been a sleepless one. A part of me was anticipating Nero knocking on my dorm room door. I had a feeling deep down in my gut that he wasn’t done with me. However, hedidn’t, and I had mixed feelings over it. By the time Monday rolled around,I’d convinced myself that I was simply a potential pick of the night, and had come to terms with that fact. That the whole thing had just been a combination of alcohol and an overactive imagination.
“I’m so embarrassed,” I whispered as I sank into the chair next to Jules in philosophy class. Nerowasn’t in his usual spot.Maybe I’d get lucky and he decided to drop the class.
The thought had barely gotten into my head when I felt the familiar chill running down my spine. Closing my eyes, I silently prayed that he’d go to his normal spot at the back of the class– I mean, why wouldn’t he?
The chill within me increased to the point that I physically trembled. And sure enough, he appeared at the end of the row that Jules and I were seated at, then made his way down the row and seated himself next to me.
“Good morning, Genevieve.”
