Miles inspects my neck, eyes narrowing on it. “My fingerprints are on your throat. Did I hurt you?”
I let out a soft laugh. “Not my neck. You fucked me raw. I’m going to be sore for weeks.”
He nestles his face into the curve of my shoulder. “I’m sorry, Schatzi.”
“No, I enjoyed it.”
Talking into my neck, he asks, “And the audience?”
I pause, biting my lip to find the words, and he lifts to look at me. “It was strange. I got nervous at one point, and then horny when I saw Johann and Anna staring while you ate me out.”
He kisses my cheek and whispers, “That’s because you have the prettiest pussy in the world.”
Miles dresses, tucks my thong in his pocket, helps me into my dress, and carries me with my heels hanging from his fingers. I can’t help marveling over this man, because it’s like swallowing the moon, and having the moon beams light up my insides and shoot out of my fingers and toes. He’s strong, rough around the edges, but the most caring and loving man I’ve ever met…aside from my dad.
He catches me staring at him. “What’s up, Jules?”
I rest my head on his shoulder. “Nothing. Just realizing how lucky I am.”
In the washroom, Miles helps clean me up, brings me to the lounge, and gets me a plate of food from the buffet. The two bodyguards who watched us are sitting at the table, and Johann and Anna come up when Miles does. They speak in German and Miles interprets.
Johann nudges Miles and says, “Nice job!”
Anna takes my hand, and asks, “Did you enjoy it?”
At this point, all I can do is nod. Now seeing them afterward is awkward. His bodyguards tell Miles he’s an animal, which they can understand, having me as his girlfriend. I can feel my face reddening, and for the rest of the night, I listen to them talk until sleep prevails.
Epilogue
Three Months Later
Over the months, things have calmed, and Jules and I found a normal routine. Well, as normal as possible considering everything in our lives. Her parents returned to the States shortly after their trip to Italy but have been back three times. Now, they’re planning on having Anja come visit them back home. Their relationship is slow moving, which is understandable.
Jules and Elisabeth have become close. She has daily calls with her parents, but Elisabeth is over often and has also found some confidence. Not wanting to take up all of Jules’ time, and to avoid being home alone too much, she joined a walking club for adults, who meet twice a week. Some of the walking excursions take her to different areas in Germany. For Jules, I’ve set up a fund account for Elisabeth and Anja, keeping my identity a secret, and now they have more money than they can spend, which opens the door for traveling for both of them. They’ve asked if I’m the one behind the fund, but I denied it, suggesting it might be Yusuf’s guilt. This has them wondering, and even though they don’t want blood money, Elisabeth does feel it’s time he financially supports his daughter whether or not he’s in her life.
The European tour ended a month and a half ago. I talked to the band about a hiatus. To say the least, Lee and the band weren’t too happy. He even threatened to sue if I didn’t live up to my contract. In the end, I offered time in the studio in the U.S. and will tour a year from now. Lee and the band members know I can drop out and would be willing to pay the penalties. I’ve made enough money for two lifetimes.
Things went a lot better when I talked to my brother. He has known this life doesn’t suit me. As long as I’m willing to visit more, he’s fine taking over the family business. Crime looks good on him. I laugh at the thought.
Now, Jules and I are lying in bed, listening to the waves in the heart of the Amalfi Coast. We have our own suite, pool, and jacuzzi on the luxurious balcony, which overlooks the beach and blue water. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this relaxed. Jules’ naked body is draped partially over mine. My fingertips smooth over her back and ass. We fucked all night into the early morning, so neither of us are keen on hopping out of bed.
“Miles?”
“Jules?”
“Are you still happy with me?”
My eyes shift to hers. “Every minute, love. Every minute.”
She rests her head on my chest. “I didn’t think my life would ever find joy or even a consistency in feeling well. I’ve been such a mess, not knowing the reason, thinking I’d never find love. You pulled me from the darkness.”
I tugged on a strand of hair for her to look at me. “It isn’t hard to love you, Jules.”
Her smile lights up the room, and I pull her in for a tender kiss.
Jules’ eyes fasten onto mine, asking, “So, what are the plans for today?”
“Maybe a dip in the pool, breakfast here, and explore Capri by boat.”
