Page 278 of Omega for the Pack

I grabbed my phone from the dresser and saw it was ten in the morning. Damn, it was so late.

Running to the bathroom, I showered and did all my morning essentials. I threw on a black pencil skirt and a purple shirt that was too small for me. I needed to go shopping for more clothes for sure when I got paid.

Walking into the kitchen, I pulled open all the cupboards and didn’t see a single dish in sight. The fridge had nothing in it as well. It was the largest unfurnished kitchen I’d ever seen in my life. They must have just purchased this house. Leaning against the kitchen wall, I looked at my phone when I felt it vibrate. It was Keera texting me from the group chat.

Keera

Are you ALIVE?

I decided to answer them back. I hadn’t talked to the girls in a while.

I am

Tiana

We thought the matchmaker alpha pack kidnapped you -

Keera

So was it a scam? Are u even okay?

Ya, the pack I was matched with didn’t like me. Then during the rainstorm, I couldn’t leave their house

Tiana

Omg, how did four alphas resist you?

Keera

Or maybe they didn’t…

They offered me a job designing their new mansion, so I’m living here for now

Keera

Umm, why

I got evicted

The doorbell rang, and I hastily texted them as I made my way to the front door. I could see Dravin through the window, carrying a shopping bag in one hand and a plate of food in the other. I opened the door.

“So this is where you’ve been hiding, huh?” he said in his thick voice. His voice was the deepest of all the alphas, and he was the most confident. He was bold with me, which made me nervous. I couldn’t forget when he fingered me in the closet during our game last night.

“Hey, what’s up?” I said, letting him in.

“I thought Caleb might have murdered you after last night,” said Dravin, leaning against the door and looking at me.

“I didn’t do anything wrong,” I said indignantly. “Why does everyone think Caleb would punish me?"

“Walking out of his house like that,” said Dravin, shaking his head while chuckling. “Anyways, it’s great to see you here and alive. I’ve brought you some breakfast.”

He walked to the kitchen and set the grocery bag on the counter, pulling out loaves of bread and milk. He unwrapped the foil from the plate, and my stomach growled at the sight of the scrambled eggs and muffin.

I wanted to eat so bad.

But I hadn’t surveyed the house yet at all. I was already behind on the project, and it was making me anxious.

“Thank you for the food, but I’ll eat in a bit,” I said, turning my camera on. “I need to take a few pictures of the living room first.”
