“I can’t live here!” I shouted at Kodan.

KODAN
Damn it to hell.
The villagers were getting restless. And I had to calm down my very frantic omega wife.
“Shh,” I said, pulling her reluctant body to me in a hug. Her body was stiff as I hugged and purred against her. She slowly relaxed under my lead, letting her head fall against my chest. Her tiara dug into my chest as I petted her hair. Her scent filled my senses as I breathed in deeply.
“Just because you can calm me like that doesn’t mean I’m not angry,” she said, trying to resist my purr.
“It doesn’t matter if you’re angry. This is your home now,” I commanded.
Princess Lyra pulled away from me and punched me in the chest. My eyes widened in surprise. I hadn't seen her this upset before.
“Every villager wants me dead,” she exclaimed. “What kind of life is that?”
Then she turned to Luke, and I could see the tension between them. What happened between them?He was the lucky bastard to take her virginity last night.
“Are you two fighting?” I asked, shaking my head.
I realized we were still standing next to the mango seller, who was staring at us curiously. I grabbed Lyra’s hand to keep walking so I could show her something.
“She doesn’t trust me,” explained Luke, following close behind.
“Idotrust you,” said Lyra, unconsciously squeezing my hand from her nervousness. “Thank you for saving me, Luke.”
“You're welcome,” he said in a stiff voice.
“Where are we going now?” Lyra asked me, looking at the mountain next to us.
“I want to show you something. Something that could help you understand,” I said.
“Understand what?” she said, looking at me with wide blue eyes. “There’s nothing to understand. Just get me the hell out of here.”
I led them to a wide clearing of rocks. In front of us was a path of stones over the ocean, like a bridge that led to a cave. A long, screeching howl came from the dark cave.
Lyra stood frozen, staring at the cave.
“I wanted to show you that,” I said.
“What the fuck was that? What’s in that cave?” she asked, backing away from the stone bridge.
“That is the Shadow Wolf,” I explained. I debated whether to tell her the whole story.
“What’s that?” asked Luke, one foot on the bridge, trying to get a look into the cave.
“He used to be a sigma, like me,” I explained. “Before the Wild Wolfmen and before this village formed.”
“So what happened?” Lyra asked, sensing my hesitance.
“Do you remember the Great Moon Revolt? You might’ve been too young to remember,” I said. “He was obsessed with the Royal Pack and wanted more for the less fortunate. He led a revolt against the palace, but he never made it there.”
“What do you mean?” said Luke. “I’ve heard about revolts happening here and there.”
“A witch cursed him and his people,” I explained. “Zaneesha cursed him until he became a wild wolf beast, who we call the Shadow Wolf. He began to attack his own followers, who were also transformed into Wild Wolfmen.”
