Grant leaned down and kissed me on the forehead. That kiss felt more intimate than even a kiss on the lips. Like he treasured me.
“I’m glad you like it,” he whispered.
“Where are we going?” I asked.
“To a restaurant called The Savory Rose.”
“Ooh, mister fancy pants,” I teased. He chuckled. As we passed by the island people, they would stop and stare at me. The new omega in town. And her alphas surrounding her protectively. My heart warmed, but I also wondered why Grant hadn’t felt the need to mark me as theirs.
“You look a little sad,” said Tony, who seemed to be quietly observing me. Grant quickly looked back at me.
My face heated as I wondered how I would say it. Would it make me sound too needy and attached? Maybe Grant didn’t see me as forever material yet?
I wasn’t sure.
“It’s just…how come you haven’t marked me yet?” I asked. “Are you all waiting to see if I’m the perfect omega for you?”
I was watching Grant’s face. A pained expression came over his face, and he closed his eyes. Then he opened his eyes and held my gaze. He held my trembling hands and pulled them onto his lap.
“I absolutely want to fucking mark you. I want to claim you as mine. Ours,” he said, enunciating each word carefully.
My chest rose and fell faster with each breath.
“Then why haven’t you?” I said in a low voice.
He rubbed his thumbs over my hands in circles. “I want to make sure you’re ready. That you want us despite us taking you from your home.”
“But will I ever see my family?” I pressed.
He stayed quiet, and I grew worried. I fidgeted in my seat, wanting space from him. He sensed that as he leaned down to kiss my neck. His warm lips pressed on my neck, causing spirals of warmth to go through me. He lightly grazed my neck with his teeth, and an electricity of lust shot through me. I could feel the wetness gather immediately between my legs as I gave in and dropped my head to one side.
Giving him access.
He kissed me again, and I moaned under his touch.
“You smell so good,” he whispered in my ear.
“Oh, Grant,” I blushed, pushing him away. I could feel the heat from the other guys’ gaze.
“When you say the word, we’ll visit your family. It’s up to you,” Grant finally replied. “I can’t keep you hostage here.”
I nodded. I wasn’t sure if I was ready to see them yet, but I just needed the reassurance.
“Looks like we’re here,” said Tony to my right, grasping my hand. I looked back at Grant and smiled apologetically as I held Tony’s hand to the restaurant. Grant looked a little annoyed, but he held it in. These men were low-key jealous if I showed one person more affection than the other. I didn’t understand why they were jealous when it was normal for alphas to share.
Sometimes, I felt like I was the problem. The one causing tension between them.
But I forgot all that as we walked into the restaurant. I gasped at how pretty it was. It was lit in purple from floor to ceiling. The chandeliers were stunning and massive. There were round tables everywhere with purple chairs, and some had one royal red chair in the middle.
“An omega-alpha table for you, sir?” asked a waiter.
“Yes,” replied Grant.
We were led to one of the tables, and Sam pulled the red chair for me.
“Thank you, Sam,” I said.
“This is the omega throne,” he said lavishly, presenting the chair for me. I laughed and sat on the extra cushioned seat. It felt amazing being treated like royalty.
