Jane smiled.“It’s his favourite adult interaction.”
Andreuxchuckled. “He’s still going.”
Eonic grinnedand pulled his hands away, holding his out in an offer to take thechild.
Terro lungedover.
Jane grinned.“Now that is his second favourite thing. Alpha climbing.”
Terro wassitting on Eonic’s head and shrieking with excitement.
Monique smiled.“Andreux used to do the same thing. Less volume though.”
“Oh, he getshis volume from me.” Jane smiled.
Eonic kept hishands bracketing the little one and grinned.
Moniquewatched, and Jane suddenly shifted her stance, and Terro camelaunching at her. Jane caught him, and Eonic gasped.
“I am sorry. Ididn’t know he was going to...”
Andreux said,“He phased through your hands. You couldn’t have held him if youwanted to.”
Terro yawnedand cuddled against Jane. “That was a bit of a surprise at eighteenmonths. He’s going to need a nap. That always takes it out ofhim.”
Andreux smiled.“We can go to my place and discuss things a little more.”
Jane smiled.“Great. It was nice to meet you two.”
As they walkedaway and Andreux put his arm around Jane and Terro, Monique lookedto her mate. “I think he might be able to convince her tostay.”
Eonic put hisarm around her. “If she doesn’t stay for attraction, she might stayfor his computer setup. Finally, a reason for all of thatequipment.”
Moniquechuckled and then sighed. “Terro is amazing. Interesting name, though.”
“We will have achance to ask. I am certain of that.” He smiled. “We have agrandson.”
Their hug waslong, and then, they headed into the house and began to plan for afuture that suddenly had a lot more in it than a son they wereproud of and friends for poker night.
Chapter Six
Jane summoned her phoneand told Serin she was okay and out on one of the BlackridgeIslands.
Andreux led herto a guest bedroom and said softly, “What does he need?”
She looked atthe tall bed, reached out, and snapped her fingers. The mattresswas on the floor in a second with a pile of pillows that would makesure Terro didn’t roll off the edge accidentally. Crawling over wasfine.
She settledtheir son down on the mattress and took off his little shoes. Shetouched his cheek and checked on him. She gestured again, broughthis favourite toy to him, and left him.
Jane nodded andexited the room, closing the door nearly completely.
Andreux waswaiting and peeped through the door. “He’s strong.”
“He is. He’salso cute, stinky, and energetic.” Jane chuckled.
Andreux led herto the kitchen, got her a glass of water, and settled down to makeher tea.
“So, yourmother is French?”
