Lila shook her head. “No kisses tonight. Jo is staying with me until Thursday, so if we’re gaming, we’re gaming with her.”
He swung his legs over the side and slowly got to his feet. His body stumbled forward, and Lila stepped in, attempting to help him balance. He caught her in his arms with a grin.
“You said no kisses tonight, but how about now? Instead of a t-shirt?”
Her laugh was breathy as he lowered his lips to hers, kissing her softly. Her arms loosened from around his neck. “Are you sure? Our shirts are pretty cool.”
“I’d rather have a kiss from my favorite vampire than a shirt any day.” He kissed her again, stifling her laughter.
She shook her head before pulling away. “You are something else, you know?” Then rising up on her toes, she brushed his lips with hers before taking his hand and leading him out the door.
