My hand came to their pants, but they stopped me.
“You’re still helping me with my goal, right?”
After that? Fuck yeah, I am.
I nodded.
“And you’ll behave? No more killing. And you’ll be a good girl and listen to what I say?”
Do they really think I’m going to agree to this?
They gave me a meaningful look, their eyes traveling down my body.
The message was clear:Be a good girl, and maybe I’ll get on my knees for you again.
I gave them another nod, not trusting my voice to be at full strength again.
“Perfect,” they said and put the bat to their mouth before darting out their tongue and dragging it obscenly against the metal. “Sweet. Like peaches.”
Another violent burst of need shot through me.
They turned away with a smile that lightly graced their lips before I could even comment on their actions.
“You can trust me,” I rushed out. “About your goal and the rat.”
They paused, looking back at me.
“I know. Better get back on track, peaches.”
A warm feeling expanded in my chest. The nickname was a nice touch. Like a secret between the two of us. Only we would know how dirty it was.
I ran my fingers through my curls, unable to keep the smile off my face.
Nothing is going to stop her from getting kicked to the side now.
The rat looked up at us as we walked back, a small frown on their face.
It would have been impossible for her not to have heard it. I wanted her to. Wanted her to know that no matter how hard she tried, Cam would always take my side.
I could see through her game. She might have had them fooled at the beginning, but not me. And I would make sure Cam got to the end of the maze. Even if they didn’t agree with my ways.
“Okay, let’s get a move on,” Cam said and picked up their stuff from the ground.
I stood there, waiting for them to say the magic words… but they never came.
The rat packed up their stuff save for one of the LadyPink bars and ran to catch up to Cam. The flames of anger roared tolife as she gave Cam a bar who accepted it with a smile before leading the group forward.
This wasn't the plan!
I stormed after them, catching up to Cam and shooting them a look. One they answered with a small smile instead of actually addressing the elephant in the room.
When I looked back at the rat, she was smiling at me.
Cam
They're called vibes, rat. Get it right.
Iwas going to hell.
