George squeezed my hand as I stood up and walked down the aisle to the front of the class. It was Match Day, when we would find out where I would be sent for my specialty training. In my case, neurology residency. My first choice was Georgetown University, because George worked as a NASA engineer at the Goddard Space Flight Center.

Once I stepped to the front of the room, the dean handed me a white envelope and I ripped into it. “Georgetown!” I screamed and ran at George, who stood up. People clapped as I jumped into his arms and wrapped my legs around his waist. We kissed desperately.

“Told you, Sins. We can do anything together.”

“Yes, we can.” I kissed him again, then he let me down, so I slid down his body.

Aaron grabbed me and pulled me in for a tight hug. “Congratulations, sis!”

“Thanks, little man.” Aaron was stationed nearby. He finished his private academy for high school, choosing to go back. George Turner, senior, had agreed for George to take over the family funds, and George was able to pay for Aaron’s schooling. Once he graduated, he entered West Point, wanting to continue his military education with the Army. And despite my teasing nickname for him, he was now George’s size.

Dan looked like a skinny kid next to his two giant brothers. He still played baseball, but in the minor leagues for a Brooklyn, New York team. After slapping George on the back, he kissed my cheek. “Let’s eat.” Due to an injury, Dan had a few weeks off, so he didn’t care what he was consuming.

“I made a whole big buffet spread at their house,” my mom said. My mom moved to live closer to us. Her townhouse was only a few miles away from our house. Shortly after she moved, she met Hugh, an older man that treated her like royalty. Things were getting serious between them. Unfortunately, he had to work late and couldn’t make it to my event.

“Fuck, I love your tater tot casserole, Ms. Monroe.” Dan threw an arm around my mom.

“Language, Danny,” my mom scolded him. Since their own mother was still back in Northview, my mom had become their secondary mother.

George’s mom was doing better. She had gotten treatment for depression and called once a week to talk. George said I was the closest person to her now. Some days I did consider we might be friends. Other times we would bicker too much.

George’s father was not doing well. Constantly in fear for his life in prison, we were informed he had to spend most of his life sentence in solitary. None of us visited. He was someone none of us ever thought of, except on Father’s Day. On that holiday, George and I usually planned some fun activities together, like watching all theStar Warsmovies or the showFirefly, his favorite.

“Have you heard from your father, yet, Kins?” my mother said as we loaded into George’s truck. Dan and Aaron drove separately and followed us back to our house.

“He is coming next weekend.” Even though we still didn’t get along well, he loved George and was putting in an effort to try to restore our relationship. He had visited us a few timeswithoutBethany or his other kids. When I visited for holidays (mainly to catch up with Levi, Elle, Marissa, and Xavier), it wasn’t as terrible with George by my side. If I had to admit it, I was even enjoying my half-siblings.

“Well, just a few more weeks until we call youDoctorTurner-Whittemore. How does that feel, Kins?”

“It will feel weird. And terrifying. And like I finally reached all my goals. Which is sad in a way.”

My husband laid his hand on the console, and I took it.

“Well, at least you guys can finally take a honeymoon—a proper one,” my mom said.

Glancing over at George, he smiled. I knew exactly what he was thinking about because I couldn’t wait for our company to leave, either, so I could jump on him the minute they were gone.

We had plans to visit Greece for two weeks before I started residency. I’d also stopped my birth control pills two months ago. We needed to fuck as soon as I was ovulating. Which was tomorrow. Which meant if we had sex in about ten minutes, we could aim for a boy. I’d considered if I wanted a boy first or a girl first. Either way, we needed to get it on soon. I needed to get pregnant immediately. That way, I could give birth during a December break. Then I could get back to work in February and have our second in my third year (a measured twenty-four months apart). I would only need to make up three extra months and wouldn’t be too behind in my residency training.

“Stop stressing,” George said, sensing my mind racing.

“We need to get home.”

He lifted our hands and kissed mine. “I got you.”

When we pulled into the garage, George helped my mother get down from his massive truck and led us inside. She walked into the laundry room, but when I went to follow, George grabbed my waist and pulled me back and slammed me up against the wall.

“Fuck, hurry,” I said.

He groaned on my neck and lifted my skirt. “Ughhh, princess. No panties?”

“Figured they’d just get in the way.”

“Good girl.” He unzipped quickly and shoved inside me. I tried to stifle my moan. As I gripped his neck, he thrust against me, pushing me hard against the wall. “I’m gonna fill you with my seed, princess. You ready for it?”

“Mmm-hmm.” I locked my legs and rubbed my clit on his pubic bone as he stayed deep inside me. As I felt his cock pulsate, I came, too.

“I love you, Sins.”
