“George, I…” she breathed in my mouth.
“What is it, princess?”
We held each other’s gazes until her eyes squinted, face contorting and flushing with ecstasy. I scooped my hips, and she creamed my cock. It filled me with awe to be this close to her burning brightness, sucking me in until my particles were strung together in single atoms. The pull so strong, I couldn’t stop the eruption as my cum exploded within her black hole, tangled up with her as we collided. Indistinguishable. We emerged through the portal together as one to a new galaxy filled with light.
Something happened. Something was exchanged, and I wasn’t the same.
We stared at each other while I was on top, inside her, my elbows now on either side of her head. Our air mingled until it was the same breath. Her carbon was filling my lungs.
“What was that?” Her eyes were wide, taking in my face as much as I was hers. My thumbs stroked her forehead.
I knew what it was. It was something I had been feeling over the last few weeks. It was dangerous. If she found out who I was, who my family was, that I knew about the cover-up…
“That was round one,” I said, schooling my face into its well-worn stoic expression.
Her eyes narrowed. I lost her. Just like that. Boom. It was for her own good, though.
Kinsley said she was tired and needed to use the restroom. I put away our snacks, the melted ice cream in my mini-fridge freezer tray. When she returned, she stood near the door, twisting her fingers and legs. I patted the comforter next to me. “Come on, get some rest.” She slowly walked to the bed and climbed in, sliding under the covers.
Fuck, I’d made things awkward. Kinsley was so confident in her own knowledge, but she had no idea how much danger she could be in if she started looking into her accident. I didn’t want that.
Despite the reluctance I sensed, I tucked her completely into my body. Whenever I found her pulling away in the night, I did it again. She wasn’t escaping my embrace. It was her only protection. And her destruction.
Her gold eyes were staring into mine when I awoke in the morning.
“I need to go home.”
I lifted my head. “What time is it?”
“It’s early. But I need to go. I have stuff to do, George. Can you take me?” She was already dressed and laying on top of the covers.
My phone read 6 a.m. “What the fuck, Sins. It’s six. Go back to sleep. We can hang here before I gotta go do airsoft. We got that party tonight.”
“I can’t stay here all day. I have studies and stuff. I need to go. Should I call a ride? Walk? Steal a bike? Can I have your key—”
“Fuck! Alright, just shut up. I’ll take you.”
I was hoping I’d get to fuck her again before she left me. Make up for the distance I’d put between us after whatever happened last night. That event horizon.
Throwing on some sweats, I grabbed my keys, wallet, and phone while Kinsley stood at the door. She was shifting from foot to foot like she couldn’t wait to escape me.
I stayed silent on the drive. There was nothing I could say. It was better if I didn’t say anything. Maybe she’d get fed up and stay away.
“Thanks for the ride,” she muttered as I dropped her off without a glance back.
I felt like shit.
Kinsley, I’m sorry. I felt it, too. And I never have before.
The afternoon was filled with my annual airsoft game with Levi, Xavier, and Mason. We lost, and it was just another blow to my already shitty day. By the time I showered and dressed for the party, I was ready to down some shots. By my third, I was worried Kinsley wouldn’t show. Checking my phone like my neck was a metronome, I was finally able to relax when Marissa arrived. Not far behind her was Kinsley.
When she arrived, I leaned to kiss her temple and she let me, but just barely. Once we were all in the kitchen drinking shots, she loosened up some. At one point, Levi hit on her and I about ended his life, especially when Mason brought up Gianna and Alenna.
Bolting out of the kitchen, I left Kinsley, but she followed me to the dance floor. Grabbing a cup of beer from the keg before I reached the DJ, I downed it, then threw the cup into the trash. Kinsley tugged on my sleeve. It was too loud and crowded for a conversation, and I didn’t want to talk.
Watching the crowd in the room, Kinsley moved to stand in front of me, saying something I couldn’t hear. Instead of leaving me be, she put her hands around my neck and jumped. If I didn’t want her to fall, I had to catch her by her butt. She wrapped her arms around my neck, so we were face to face.
“What happened?” she asked.
