“Come on, let’s talk in the hot tub, and get warmed back up before we go in.”

“Okay, but you are gonna have to carry me at this point.” I harrumph attempting to move and fail miserably.

“I’ve got you baby; I’ll always have you.” Brix replies as he sets us both up. I wrap my arms around his neck, kissing it softly as I inhale him.

He moves to stand, cupping my ass. It’s all I can do to wrap my legs around his waist like a child.

My legs start to quiver again, showing him just how well he thoroughly fucked me as he steps us into the hot bubbly water of the jacuzzi.

The water stings my cool bare skin as we sink in. He moves my left leg around his body sitting me on his lap as he takes a corner bucket seat.

I haven’t let go of his neck and don’t plan to. He is definitely going to have to carry me to bed and pry me off of him at this point.

“I love you, Genevieve Hope LaBlanc.”

“Soon to be Mrs. Genevieve Hope Blaze, thank you! I love you Brixon Roman Blaze.” I smirk, loving the sound of what my name will sound like after we are married.

“You loved it back when we were kids too. I honestly think that’s why you chose me out of all the boys you could have had.” He chuckles softly.

“You did have the coolest name out of anyone. Plus, none of the other boys ever looked at me the way you did.” I can’t help but grin remembering how jealous he was even in elementary school.

“Are you warm yet?” he asks sweetly, kissing my temple just as my eyes close.

“Yup.” I yawn in his ear.

“Okay baby, I got you. Hold on my perfect little witch.”

“Brixon.”

“Yeah baby?”

“Don’t forget my pie.”

I feel Brixon’s chest rumble slightly as he chuckles at me, “I’ll come back for it.”

Chapter 22

Brixon

“It’s seven a.m. and I already have day two of our perfect vacation in full swing. What could go wrong?” I reply to Liam who has been freaking out on speaker phone for the last thirty minutes.

Little miss fucking sunshine let the cat out of the bag that the hit is on me, and not my bride to be this morning. I know it’s not Emily’s fault. I almost told him at Bayou Bites yesterday, but I knew he would freak out and get Darius involved.

“Were you planning on telling us before or after you both get yourselves killed?” He yells louder, making me roll my eyes.

“Look, Evie saw what she saw. She will not die trying to protect me. It won’t come to that. We just have to figure out who wants me dead, besides all the ancestors who are already dead. Piece of cake. Plus, all this witchy stuff could be wrong. Have some faithbrother.” I reply like it’s no big deal as I flip a pancake over in the small pan on the stove.

“Piece of cake? Have faith! Are you fucking kidding me? You are still on the fence after everything that has come to light? Do you have any idea how many enemies we have Brixon? You have officially lost it! Fine, you leave me no choice, expect to call Darius today!”

I start to respond but hear the click of the phone. The fucker hung up on me.

I plate the last pancake as Jinx meanders into the kitchen, stretching as he gives me a death stare.

“You may not be a witch, but you and Evie are very similar, huh Jinx? You’re definitely not a morning kitty, just like mommy.” I chuckle at the pretty black cat who always looks like he has something to say.

Mommy? I smile and shake my head as I lather butter over all the pancakes. Who would have thought that I might actually get to have a family. Not as a sperm donor, only getting to know my kid through his or her mother, but full time, with a woman I love more than anything on this earth.

I plate everything I made for breakfast and add each little item I think she might like to the tray. I grab a white rose from one of the vases of flowers in the kitchen and lay it across the front of the tray.
