I take the spread upstairs where Evie is sitting up in bed looking at her phone as she yawns and wipes her eyes with the back of her hand.
“I got you some breakfast to help with the hangover.” I say as I place the tray on the bed and climb in next to her, relaxing back into the pillows.
“You are the man. Gimme, gimme, gimme.” She says, reaching for the coffee.
I hurry, grabbing the coffee before she spills it all over herself.
“Nope juice first with your pain reliever, then your special coffee.” I coax her, making her groan in frustration, when she bats her eyes, and I still don’t budge.
I hold out her juice in one hand, and her pills in the other, waiting for her to cave and take it. She does only after about ten seconds, downing her entire glass of juice before sticking out her tongue, showing me she swallowed her medicine.
“Good girl. Here you go.” I place her favorite cup in her hands and kiss the tip of her nose.
She smiles when she sees the dusting of nutmeg, “Thank you.” She replies, taking a sip from her mug and moaning in appreciation.
I smirk, “Good enough to get a moan huh.” I chuckle, licking my finger and swiping the number one on an imaginary board above us, “One for Brix.” I say, teasing my little witch.
“It’s really good. The nutmeg gives it the perfect touch of the holidays, don’t you think?” she asks, grinning from ear to ear, making my heart melt with how I was able to make her smile so bright.
I turn on my seat, to see the three blacked out SUVs with our security details unload, moving to all four doors of our Escalade’s, opening them for us.
Couples hand in hand, we head down the sidewalk up to the entrance of the brick tunnel.
“We are good from here.” Liam puts his hand up to the guards, telling them to stay put.
Evie and I lead the group up to the iron gates that open before we have a chance to hit the call button.
Cami’s voice comes over the speaker, “Come on in guys, we are heading to the courtyard to meet you now.”
Brixon gives my hand a light squeeze as we enter the beautiful courtyard. My eyes widen, taking in everything that seems so familiar from the TV show.
“Shit, they really made it look exactly like it.” I look at Emily and Lily, who are in just as much awe as I am.
“I told you.” Brixon chuckles, enjoying my reaction.
“Hey y’all! We are so happy you could make it.” Savvy enters the courtyard with my brother, welcoming us.
“Wow, this is more beautiful than I could have ever imagined it. Thank you for inviting us into your home.” I reply, still enamored with my surroundings.
“You should have seen my angel the first time I brought her here. She squealed so loud. She ran around the place trying to take it all in. I’ll never forget the way she lit up, just getting to be a part of something that she had loved for so long.” Christian wraps an arm around his wife, smiling from ear to ear.
“The day you swept me off my feet.” Savvy says sweetly, as Sin leans down, giving her a sweet kiss.
“I hope everyone is hungry, the girls have been cooking up a storm today.” Christian motions for us all to follow. His smile is infectious.
I gawk at every inch of the place as we pass through a few familiar spaces, but nothing could prepare me for the dining room.
I don’t know if it’s the same table from the show, but it looks amazing. I can tell they have tried to keep things as close to The Originals set, obviously as big of fans as I am.
“Hey! We are just bringing out the finishing touches for lunch, have a seat and help yourselves to drinks.” Cami comes into the large room beaming as she carries a tray of little slider sandwiches, then rushes back where she came from before I can even speak.
We all sit, except Savvy, she follows Cami. I look at the huge spread of fruit, pastas, and all kinds of cooked little sandwiches. I pour myself some lemonade, waiting for everyone else to join the group.
They all live here, together. One big happy family.
Cami walks in with the most beautiful little girl on her hip that looks every bit like her mommy and daddy. My heart skips a beat when Savvy walks in, carrying the most precious baby boy with dark curly hair and bright blue eyes like his mommy. I decide right then that he looks more like his mommy.
“Awe, they are absolutely beautiful.” I can’t help but gush over both babies.
