“If you girls would like to keep them. When you are finished with them, I will take the mugs to the beach and clean them out for you. I can have one of the stores wrap them up, so they don’t get broken.” Noah offers, looking only at Lily.

Damn my boys are both smitten with my best friends. I smile and look at Brixon, who is already staring at me. I smile wide, getting caught enjoying getting to watch our friends fall in love.

We all decide to ride the Ferris wheel after Noah delivered on his promise to take care of our mugs.

Brixon is quiet until we hit the top and come to a dead stop again. I look down and take a calming breath. I am not a fan of heights.

He takes my shaking hands in his, kissing each palm, “I’ve got you. I’ll always have you.” He pulls a hand up to his chest, pressing it firmly over his heart, “I’m so sorry I hurt you last night. I would never intentionally hurt you.” His eyes look lost, and I can’t help but feel bad for making him feel like he did something wrong.

“Brix, I was a willing party, and I wouldn’t change anything. I loved it! My ass is just a little pissed off at us today. I’m fine, I just don’t think that is going to be something that I ever want to do again. The play, yes, but the actual act itself.” I trail off, looking down.

Brix lifts my chin, “We don’t have to ever do that again if you don’t want to. I know I have always said that I want to dominate you in every way, and you really don’t have a choice. That changed when you woke up this morning in pain, it broke me. I never want to cause you actual pain. I’m so sorry baby.” I can tell he has been beating himself up all day and that is the last thing I want him to do.

“Brix, if I ever want you to fuck my ass again, remind me of this okay. We are good babes. There is no reason for you to feel bad. I wanted it, begged you for it even. You made last night so fucking perfect because you are so fucking perfect. I love you.”

After shopping for hours, we finally make it to the hotel and check in. It’s magnificently decorated in elegant cream, black, and gold. Adults only, with a gorgeous balcony, and view of the ocean. I’m in heaven.

Brix tosses our bags by the closet and moves over to the floor to ceiling window behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist as he softly presses his lips to my shoulder.

“It’s so beautiful here. I love it, and I know I will want to come here all the time for us to get away. I also know how much you love it here. Can you really give up your favorite place to be in mine?” I ask the question that has been driving me crazy.

I have seen him light up here in a way that he doesn’t back home. I want him to be happy too.

“This isn’t home. You are. Wherever you are, or want to be, is where I will always follow. This is just a nice place for us to get away, not my home. You love New Orleans more than anything. It was my first home. New Orleans is where we belong.”

I turn in his arms, going up on my toes to kiss him, then pull back, “I love you so much. I can’t wait to become Mrs. Brixon Blaze.”

“I love you more, my little witch.” He replies before kissing my lips so softly, catching me off guard with how gentle he is as he cups my cheek.

I walk out of the bathroom and into the living area of the suite, waiting for Brixon to look up. The boys told us to dress up tonight for dancing, and I made sure that my outfit would warrant my fiancé’s attention.

Brix is sitting on the couch looking dapper in a light blue collard button up with a navy blazer and dark washed jeans. He looks up from his phone and I see his eyes widen a bit before his lips curl into his signature smirk.

“Genevieve, you look absolutely fucking gorgeous.” He stands with his mouth gaping at the tight black backless dress hugging my curves as I turn in a circle for him.

“You like?” I ask with a smirk, loving the way he is eye fucking me right now.

Brix moves closer to me, cupping my face, “I love. Stay close to me tonight, I don’t want to have to kill anyone for not being able to keep their eyes off of you.” He says lowly before he presses his lips to mine.

There is fire in his kiss that I swallow down, loving the fucking burn it puts in my belly.

He backs away, “I don’t want to ruin your makeup before we even get to go out. You are making it difficult for me not to rip that dress in half and keep you to myself tonight.” His words are feral, and I can’t help but want him to make good on his threat.

“You kiss me like that again before we leave, and I’ll rip it off for you.” I smirk, knowing his dick is hard as stone when he has to adjust himself at my words.

Brix and I enter into the fine dining restaurant looking for our friends. He tells the hostess his last name. The pretty brunette quickly leads us to a large round table, where the people we are closest to in this world sit looking emphatically happy drinking wine and laughing.

Emily is in a lovely, royal-blue, silky jumpsuit that comes up around her neck, and shows off her shoulders and upper back. Her pretty blue eyes pop as she looks up at us walking in.

“Bout time you two.” She smiles wide, letting me know this is not her first drink of the night.

“Sorry, I took a little longer to get ready than I planned.” I make an excuse for us. I mean I did take longer, not really thrilled with my hair, but managed to tame it a bit.

“Evie, that dress is bomb! You look amazing!” Lily bounces in her seat.

I notice her color is green as well. Her hazel eyes are more of a dazzling green rather than brown in the pretty, one-shouldered, elegant dress she is wearing tonight.

“You all look amazing. We never get cleaned up like this. It’s fun. We should do it more often.” I reply, looking at all of our friends dressed to the nines.
