I head into the kitchen with Emily and Liam, who both look like they just need sleep.

He didn’t want to scare Emily or make a move that she isn’t ready for. He never talked himself into going upstairs, and now I know she wished he had. I don’t have an excuse other than pure exhaustion.

I’m still tired as fuck, but I’m ready to take my girl away for a few days and see if I can get her to relax, enjoy the holiday, and just say yes. Maybe then I can relax to.
