I can feel them both watching me, but they’d be smarter not to ask me anything, not when I want to fucking know why they didn’t mention shit to me!

I growl, spinning around and slamming Liam into the ground, my eyes blazing as I glare at them. The air in the gym shifts as they both stare at me, realising I am truly fucking pissed off.

“Hey, what’s wrong, El?” Liam asks softly, concern etched on his face.

I turn my back on them both, breathing hard as I glare at the ground outside of the boxing ring.

“Where the fuck were you both when shit went down here?” I ask, my voice thicker than usual, my wolf on the brink of coming out.

“What do you mean, Elijah?” Aaron asks quietly.

“If I have to fucking tell you, then forget it,” I snarl as I jump out of the ring and grab my top.

“Come on, Elijah, tell us what the issue is. How else are we supposed to know what we did wrong?!” Aaron shouts.

I ignore him, letting the door bang shut behind me, so pissed off that I don’t look where I’m walking and knock into someone.

“Whoa!”

I glance up at the man I just knocked into, realising it’s Hank. Yeah, as future Delta, he should have been taking care of matters too. I shake my head before walking off.

Great, just fucking great.

I’m going to get to the bottom of this shit, and I will find out the name of every single person involved. I wonder if Indy knew more than she let on…

Well, there’s one way to find out.

I reach homeand text Indy if she wants to go into town for a movie and drinks. It is long overdue anyway and hopefully it’ll take the edge off my anger. After showering, I put on some faded denim jeans and step out of the bathroom, spotting Indy sitting on my bed eating a chocolate bar.

“Hey. I’m all ready to go!” she says, pointing at herself, a spark of excitement in her eyes as I grab a white graphic t-shirt and put it on, before picking up my phone and wallet.

I smirk. “Great, then let’s head out,” I answer. She grins up at me and nods.

“Ok!”

She’s a reckless one too, like Red. Full of spark, and it worries me a little knowing what kind of person she is.

She acts before she thinks and I don’t want her to get hurt, and in a pack where people are capable of being so fucking cruel, that concern is only heightened.

“Stop looking at me like that, I’m not dead,” she grumbles, shoving me lightly as she jumps off the bed and I pick up my jacket.

“I was just thinking you’ve gotten pretty big,” I answer, putting the jacket on and ruffling her hair. She swats my hand away.

“Ruin your own hair. So where are we going? I hope you have like an awesome sibling night out planned, cus I also haven’t had dinner.” She looks at me pointedly, and I chuckle.

“Alright, Pixie, we’ll get dinner too.” I ruffle her hair again and she shoves me before I do it again and run off down the stairs.

“Elijah!” she shouts as she runs after me. But obviously, she’s way too slow for me with her much shorter legs.

“Careful! Oh my!” Jessica gasps as I almost knock into her. She’s carrying a few bags of groceries which almost fall.

“Sorry,” I reply, ducking as Indigo jumps on my back, strangling me.

Dad’s laugh makes me look up. “Now, what are you two up to?”

“We are going on a brother-sister date,” Indigo informs him.

Brother-sister…
