“Anything to make our Omega comfortable and happy.” He offers his hand. “Want to go for our ride or cuddle?”

Both are so tempting, but my curiosity spikes at the reminder that we are supposed to go out.

“Ride!” I declare with excitement. “I got distracted. Sorry.”

“No apologies are necessary,” he reassures me as I place my hand in his. “I just hope you’re not afraid of going fast.”

“Why would I be afraid of going fast in a car?” I ponder as he helps me up.

“You’ll find out in a minute,” he offers as he leads the way once more.

Admiring my room one more time, we’re off to the basement garage. All the guys have their share of taste when it comes to vehicles, but I can tell Kai enjoys cars. There’s just this playful, boyish expression that takes over his face when he talks about various cars, which is why I’m prompting different questions as we walk through the massive garage and admire the various cars they have for both casual use and collection purposes.

When the garage door begins to open as we approach, I’m ready to see what car we’re taking to who knows where, but my eyes widen at the sight.

“No fucking way,” I immediately declare, noticing the dark metallic purple with hints of blue and silver element sitting on the seat of a motorcycle. “Don’t tell me we’re riding that?!”

“Scared?” he says with a sly grin that has me squealing in excitement.

“Fuck no!” I’m running to the bike in a heartbeat, listening to Kai’s low laughter as he casually walks toward the massive motorcycle. I’m not good with names, so I have no clue what brand it is. What I do know is that the bike is decked out with this nicest matte wrap that accentuates the metallic accents.

The wheels are massive, in my opinion, but I noticed there are LED lights along the silver rims that make me excited to see what this looks like at night.

“You’re loving the look, huh?” Kai says, as he’s obviously admiring me. I’ve been so obsessed with acknowledging every bit of this bike that I hadn’t realized he’d been watching me.

“I love everything about it!” I emphasize. “I want to ride, but I guess I haven’t had much confidence to get out there and try. Feels like a hobby to enjoy with company, especially in the beginning.”

“It is nice to ride with friends when starting out,” Kai agrees, as he walks over to pick up my helmet. “You want to try now?”

“Hell to the no.” I squirm away, making him laugh.

“You’re not one to cower from a challenge,” he acknowledges while I stubbornly cross my arms and shake my head.

“I’m not, but this is the one time I decline,” I note. “I don’t even know where we’re going. If it’s for burgers that’s out of this gated community down and down the street, sure, but onto the freeway? Nope. Not my newbie ass.”

He’s grinning from ear to ear as he approaches me. When he’s before my pouting face, he can’t help but lean right until our lips are inches apart.

“Is my Sweet Omega scared?”

I narrow my eyes at him, trying not to admit the truth, but fuck. I can’t imagine driving this big bad boy with him at the back, watching my every move.

Nope. It won’t work.

“Yes,” I dare to admit. “Now, shoo!” I use my hands to make shoo gestures that have the cunning man smirking before he walks around me so he can hug me from behind. I don’t squirm from his hold as I feel the gentle touch of his lips at the top of my head.

“There’s nothing to be afraid of,” he comforts quietly. “It’s an exhilarating experience and gives you an odd sense of power. Like you’ve gained this newfound independence by being one of the few who can drive such a thing. Not to say there aren’t a lot of motorcyclists, but there’s this ongoing risk and stigma surrounding them. As though riding is an act of defiance in our society that pretends driving luxury cars is what makes you badass.”

He proceeds to kiss my neck, making me melt into him while I lift my head back, encouraging him to continue.

“You’ll see when we’re riding how it feels, and you let me know if you want to practice together,” he suggests. “We already got you a bike.”

“You didn’t,” I whisper in surprise as I lean back so I can turn my head and be inches from his face.

His proud grin says it all, leaving me too stunned to speak.

Placing a soft kiss on my parted lips, Kai winks and moves back enough so he can slide my helmet on.

“Get your sexy ass on that seat, Sweet Omega,” he encourages. “I’m gonna do a quick check-through and make a phone call.”
